So I have finally scheduled my SRS surgery in 6 months. Anyone know of a good way how to raise money because 25k(for plane tickets, surgery, hotel, etc.) is not something I have just lying around the house unfortunately . Really don't want to put it back any farther.

So you don't have the money and not sure if you will even have it? Why set yourself up for disappointment in  6 months? Let's says you find some sugar daddies who lend you a few hundred dollars (I'm assuming for the right to have first crack at your new vagina, even if you find them repulsive), you're still going to be seriously short. Why don't you. Get a second job or something? Saving for all of this surgery is tough, trust me I know, I had to do it myself, but not impossible.

Surgeon waiting lists are a complete myth. When I wanted to do my Srs, I booked a date. Then I wanted to do genital electro (even though my surgeon didn't require it), so I had to pass on the date. When I was ready, electro done, letters in hand, and most importantly cash in hand, i was able to book almost any date I wanted. You know the old line, money talks.

Ok, so I am an exception to most rules, but I do have a house I am deep in debt for, and went even a little deeper in regard to my surgery and some improvements to the actual house.  My re-finance did end up with a very slightly higher payment, and another 18 years of some great interest write-offs on my state and federal income taxes.  GCS is about the same price as my last motor vehicle cost, and I had good enough credit with my actual Credit Union that I could have gone that way too. 

I'm afraid I have to agree that if you don't have a good chunk of the money in hand already, this probably isn't going to work out. I know quite a few people who tried crowdfunding, and almost none managed more than a few hundred bucks - and NO ONE cobbled together the full price that way.

(I worked three jobs for about three years, and we saved like crazy.)

Hmm so that is about $139.00 a day for 180 days (6 months) A second job would work, if you make $18.00 hr (after taxes) and can work 8 hrs a day 7 days a week for 6 months you should be good to go.

I wish you so much luck on making your goal. I know a few who sold everything they owned to help fund theres.

I had two main plans. Insurance, (which -did- pan out.) Or cash out much of my roth IRA. Unlike a 401k etc a roth IRA doesn't incur penalty for certain expenses like primary housing and medical needs. The money has already been taxed so you really can get the amount needed in a pinch.
