Sometimes I think so. Take the word "->-bleeped-<-", that is what most people hear and identify transgender or transexuality with. It doesn't offend me unless there is malice behind it because most of the people that use the word are usually not part of the LGBT community and are pretty much ignorant as to "our" lingo. Same with the word "->-bleeped-<-", most of the people that use that word are ignorant that we find it insulting and happens to be a reference used by the porn industry. I just wonder how many straight guys know that word from watching the videos? It might be interesting to really get a head count on the numbers, no pun intended.

Again that word doesn't offend me unless used with malice. Tgirl, another one that doesn't bother me. The word that I absolutely do hate is "it". When one uses that word it is a conscious action to dehumanize us. All the other words, like I said, are just descriptions by people that have no idea that some of us are offended by them, but "it" makes us more into some
thing than someone.
