I've recently begun medically transitioning FtM and identify as panromantic, which is all well and good, but I feel like I'm too early on in my transition to flirt with people! And there are SO MANY ATTRACTIVE PEOPLE!!!! EVERYONE IS SO GORGEOUS AND I JUST WANT TO SAY HI WITHOUT BEING CREEPY!!! At least before I started transitioning I was too self-conscious and self-deprecating to flirt with people most of the time. Not saying that was AT ALL good, but this is a completely new problem! I feel so much better about myself and want other people to want to flirt with me, but I'm also too scared to initiate in case they see me as female. WHAT DO?!?!??!

Online dating?

FWIW, I would say having this problem is better than being too self conscious and self-deprecating to flirt, but I don't have any solid advice to give sadly. I would guess though if you are looking for some romantic attention you could always make an online dating profile and in it, make it clear that you only want to be seen as male.

I totally get where you're coming from. It took me decades to get the secret of talking to beautiful women. (Maybe I was a bit slow because I wasn't really a man).

The secret is...

Not to care what they think.

That's all there is. If she's into you, she'll respond positively (which may be flirty, maybe shy, may even be hostile). If she's not into you, she'll find a way to remove herself from your presence or make sure you get the message.

So DON'T WORRY ABOUT SEEMING CREEPY! Just speak up. Worst that will happen is she won't like you, and you haven't lost anything. You know they'll be missing out on a great guy.

I'm not saying to be disrespectful or impolite, of course, or to keep pushing when it's clear you're not welcome. But the type of guys who can go up to good looking women and open a dialog are those that just don't care about being shot down or seeming creepy.

Find an excuse to talk to them.. ask them the time.. ask them for directions I don't know anything which might ease you into it and give u the chance to open up an interaction and see how they respond...

Failing that get an online profile like others have said and flirt away
