So I might be going to a club soon with some of my friends, my question is if I should wear a binder? Last time I was at a club, I was trying "girl mode" at the time and I was hot then. I'm more so worried about if I will be able to breathe with the binder and tons of people dancing close together and how hot it gets. I was debating on just wearing a sports bra instead but those don't really flatten like binders. Anyone else have experience with clubs and binders?

I don't have experience with clubs and binders, but I do have tons of experience with clubs and different outfits.

I think as long as you stay hydrated and don't wear a ton of layers over your binder (just one shirt is ideal), you should be fine. That's without partaking in any illegal substances. If you're planning on any sort of plant or powder or pill, I would say go binder-less and rock the androgynous look. Fatalities from club drugs are caused primarily by overheating.

It also depends on what sort of dress code. Is this a tee shirt and shorts kind of place or a dress shirt and slacks kind of place? The former is much more binder-friendly. Is this a casual, socializing type of event where you want to stay looking nice or an event where everyone will be dancing and getting sweaty?

Clubs usually have an outdoor smoking area you can escape to for cooling off if you need. I think it depends on how you are most comfortable.

no drugs, just alcohol. Its a collared shirt and dress shoes kind of club. Last time I was here, people dance wicked close and it gets real hot and sweaty lol I know there are places to go to cool down, just was worried about the binder. I was just going to wear a collared shirt over my binder, so hoping that will be ok.

That sounds okay to me. I'd choose something darker and patterned so the binder isn't obvious when the shirt gets sweaty and starts sticking.

I've been to a lot of parties and clubs, many times with two layers on my torso just because that's the style I was going for, and it's hot and sweaty but I never felt in danger of overheating. I feel like I would not have noticed someone wearing a binder either. There are just too many other stimuli happening to pay close attention to what others are wearing under their clothes.

I always bind. I've been clubbing a decent amount this winter and I always wear my binder. Then again I'll wear my binder outside in 115 degree heat because I'd rather my chest be flat.
