I was looking up on-line about the Transgender Day of Remembrance.  (Yeah, I'm always late for everything.)

It occurred to me to wonder if there's any sort of remembrance for TG's who commit suicide.  Dr. V is one of the more obvious ones, but I've read somewhere that a large proportion of TGs (something like one third ? one half?) have at least attempted suicide, and I keep hearing of young TGs who get bullied into suicide.

TDoR seems to be specifically for people who were murdered, and I can understand that they might want to restrict their focus to that.  I just wondered if there's any place for remembering the more indirect victims of transphobia.

From the glaad website:

QuoteTransgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) is an annual observance on November 20 that honors the memory of those whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender violence.

It isn't much of a stretch to label suicide due to societal pressures on a trans person as "anti-transgender violence".

The suicide is violent and is caused by anti-transgender attitudes and actions.

Just my opinion, of course, but I would definitely like to see them included.
