Currently I am pre-everything so this is more of a do I have a decent chance of passing with just HRT or will I need FFS? I have my first therapy session in about 3 weeks and a doctor's appointment (specialty in trans* care) the following week.

Sorry for the poor image lighting; I am currently working out of state (for 2 more weeks) so I am using my cell phone and poor lighting.

Will the veins on my forehead be a major issue or is that something that gets hidden by fat redistribution during HRT?

(I hope the images post properly)

Edit: I think I fixed the images...
It's hard to tell so early on if you'll need FFS. But from what I can see you are in a great position to start with and you have lovely hair!

As I posted on another topic...I finaly bought a wig and female clothes...so...how bad am I? Can I pass at least a bit?

Please, sincere opinions...I already know about my nose and the need of FFS, that will probably be afforded by my grandparents....they accepetd me after all...

I would like opinions about the hairstyle and other things I can change.

I am so depressed because I lost my mother...and I decided to let Natalia out and try to be free...it's beem so hard, but at the same time I felt good being myself.
Not bad at all! You look very female in most of your pictures and the only thing that I can see needs work is, as you've already mentioned, your nose. You'll do absolutely great!

Thanks! I haven't touched my hair in about a year... I could probably use some sort of trim whether presenting as male or female...

Thank you! ^^ I don't know why, perhaps I have much in common with LtL, and I see poeple telling me that I am looking more feminine...but somehow I can't see it....I look at myself and still see a boy with a wig :/

You look nice and quite feminine Natalia. In my opinion, the middle photo has the best hairstyle and gives you an overall softer look. I think the lighter color shirt shows off your facial features more. However I'd try and find something feminine in the lighter colors. That looks like a man's T shirt your wearing.
Although, I'm constantly wearing those same kind of tanks your wearing in photo 2.

So happy to hear your Grandparents are going to accept you for who you are.

I absolutely loooove that necklace your wearing in the first photo.

Thank you Allyda! ^^

I'm struggling with my "new hair", it's hard to keep it styled in one way, because it wants to be divided on the middle, no matter what. I found some hair clips and they saved me!

Indeed the pink t-shirt was found on the masculine section, but I liked the pronounced V neck and found it kind of feminine...but probably it is more like a masculine homssexual t-shirt lol. I am still too afraid of buying really feminine clothing...

I bought a feminine t-shirt saying it would be for my mother, but when I got home I realized it wasn't too feminine...  :-\

The tank is great, but it is a compressive tank, so it flattens my breasts...not very feminine too lol

Someday I'll go shopping and I'll buy feminine clothes once for all! For the wig I had to call the vendor and tell her "hey...I am actually a trans woman and I need a feminine wig...can I try some on a very private place?". But she was really kind with me and even encouraged me to go out with the wig!

I borrowed some of my moms jewerly...the necklace was hers. She had some very beautiful necklaces and I pretend to wear them all the time.

And one VERY important question...I know normally most of the messages here are very helpful to boost our self esteem...but I want to know the real and crude truth. Can I pass this way? Sure, I still need to style my hair better and learn proper make-up (I was trying adding an eyeliner...but I couldn't make it look good)...but I really want to know...what are my chances of passing the way I am looking right now? Please, you can say the truth...I just don't want to go out and think I can pass when actually I can't.

I think you look great! :) Grow your hair out and everything will be just amazing.

Thanks you Caitlyn and Jimmy so much for the kind words I am most definately happy with my appearance. Well my face at least.

Here's a picture of me with dry hair. I actually have longish hair and i'm trying to grow it out.

I am so lucky to be where I am! :)

You seem a bit down and unhappy in your picture. Try smiling a bit more!

Natalia, I dont want to sound cliche, but, dammit, smile! Your pictures did remind of women I have met in my real life or seen somewhere (TV?, dunno, cant remember) - but Your "type" resembles them quite closely, And once You will stop looking deeply
concerned about fate of universe and humanity in particular, You will start shining :).

Thank you Emily...I know, smiling is essential...my previous avatar pic with a virtual wig was good because I was happy.

But I think I am just feeling so down lately because of my mother that I don't even know how I am being able to write here...one of the few things that are keeping me alive, besides the need of caring for my grandparents, is the strong will I have to transition.

I'll see if I can post better pics later, perhaps even today...I am feeling a bigger urge to transition to Natália...perhaps this is a way of trying to forget my past as a boy and all the tragedies that got me. Thank you for the advices (and by the way, as I keep saying, you are looking very cute ^^)

No you have a darling face to begin with, great cheek bones, nice smile! I don't know about the veins, but you'll probably want to have a hairstyle that diminishes your forehead somewhat anyway, so the veins in conjunction with HRT may become a moot point!

Sorry, I don't have a hosting account, but would love to hear what you folks think of my profile picture.
I'm not digging my glasses anymore.  They just don't seem right.

Thanks!

I'll starting giving my opinions too...but don't take them too serious because I am not a very good critic :)

I think your face have a round and very feminine shape and you have nice cheeks! The only thing that says "masculine" to me is your high hairline and forehead, but I am sure that with a proper wig or hair advancement you will loook great! I don't know if you are on HRT, but it can help you recovering a bit of your hairline.

It looks for me that your hair have a good lenght, but it is all behind your head. Try to bring your hair forward and style it! You'll be great!

So I'm looking for some brutal honesty here. Should I look into FFS for my brow, hairline advancement, and cheekbones? What about rhinoplasty for my nose? I know I'll need a trachea shave eventually, fortunately that is covered by insurance. FFS however is not. So I'd like input on whether I'd see some huge improvements with any FFS procedures so I can plan on saving up for them now.

2 frontal and profile shots in different lighting:
(These are in male mode intentionally as I want to show how I look without makeup or contouring)

I ask about the hairline because this is what it looks like pulled back:

Here's how it looked several years ago when I had it long:

I'm really hoping HRT will turn out great for me (only 2 weeks into it) and makes FFS unnecessary. But some days I just have my doubts and have a hard time even catching a glimpse of the girl under the mask...   :-\

Im sure that with hrt you ll be able to pass ,,,
you can do the forehead work and hairline lowering for better results, but your face has a lot of feminine qualities :)

It looks like you'll do fine, maybe a nose job for extra benefit , but maybe not necessary

Alaia: Your face looks similar to mine. HRT may move your soft tissues in a way that eventually will end up looking female. Mostly genetics, only time will tell. Your forehead is like mine, very "manly" but could potentially be hidden with a bangs sort of hairstyle. Be patient, I know the FFS docs say go for it but some people may get significant changes in soft tissue placement and shape from HRT.

This is why young men have better results from HRT alone.

My hair hasn't changed too much since high school.

I've always had very fine, white hair.  I need to start playing with it more, I guess I'm more use to it being in back from work, and not going out much.

I started hrt eight months ago!
