SO!
My hair will not stay straight. I have tried all sorts of things to make it straight. But at the end of the day I have curly blonde locks.
Put that with my chubby round face and I don't think I could ever find  a way to pass.
Here is a pic of me and my dreadful hair: http://prntscr.com/33usgg
I have never tried to cut it in a more masculine way because my parents always pressed femininity on me. But I have moved out and I am ready to change.
I bought my first binder and everything!

SO... ANY HAIRCUT IDEAS? It is so hard to find any FTM pics that aren't super short spiky hair or straight asian styles.
I cannot keep my hair super straight for more than three hours. After that it starts to defy me with pricks of curls.
Saying that- the issue has always been with long hair.

One other thing... My hair is THICK.

I have thick, curly, baroque period style locks, and I have no trouble passing.  Curly hair does not a lady make!  I know lots and lots of men with long curly hair.  In fact, I think longer hair can actually help many people pass compared to shorter looks that are popular with many butch type women.

Maybe try a different shape, like a shag cut or something.  I've always enjoyed my hair around that length/style.  My hair was, however, super straight pre-T.  The T made it super curly.  A change I'm not at all sad about.

Maybe since summer is coming keep it long (like ~4-6 inches) and cut the sides like a mohawk, but wear it down.  I met lots of curly haired guys the past two summers with that look.  Shaving off the one side is super popular for girls, but both seems to be pretty exclusively guys (that I've seen).  I think it would make you look a lot more masculine, and maybe even allow you a moment of great hair pride.
I solemnly swear I am up to no good.

You have no idea how much I love that idea. My only issue is I work in an office style setting.... for my conservative parents....

And I am thinking it might not go over very well. No Masculine haircut will go well, but an epic Mohawk would go even less well.

But awesome suggestion!

I need some pictures to show the barber >n>   Hair is such a finicky thing to deal with.

I have a couple of cis guy friends that have curly hair (one rivals yours for curls) and both of them keep it long. One of them keeps his in a ponytail that is past his shoulders and the other one with the curlier hair keeps his a lot longer (to his butt) and braids it.

My friend with the shorter hair has a twin brother who tried to cut his own hair shorter....it didn't work out too well for him and he has a fro thing going on now...

The name of the hair style GnomeKid was talking about is called an undercut and it's what I wear my own hair as. My hair isn't curly but does have a slight wave to it. An undercut isn't really as "unprofessional" As a mohawk, it has a much wider crown area, but is a very masculine hair cut in general. I'm a teacher btw to give I've you an idea of the professionalism level of this style.

Another idea you could do is look at pictures of cis guys with curly hair and their haircuts. Googling mens curly hair styles/cuts might help. Mens long curly hair styles is another search phrase also. Try and find pictures of men with the same facial shape as yours for the best results.

Your hair looks about as curly as mine was at a longer length, and I was worried about it getting super curly and frizzy when I first got it cut. (Especially because I rocked a baby fro until I was about 4.) It turned out that it actually kind of chills out a bit now when it's shorter, at least when it's shorter than my average curl length. So when my hair is 1/4"-3" or so, you can tell that it's curly, but it doesn't get too out of hand. I don't know if the same thing will happen with your hair, but it might. (For the record, I think we also might have comparable thicknesses too.)

My face is kind of round, and I've had the best luck minimizing that with cuts that are short on the sides and longer on the top. (Buzz cut all over emphasizes the roundness, and the same longer length all over does the same but not as bad.) You can try googling things like "curly short back and sides" for ideas.

I was just about to suggest perhaps a version of a "high and tight" just perhaps not so short, which is where it would get into butch lesbian.

Well, I don't think it needs to be a very short haircut. I think that if you have a particularly feminine face, like me (I think), it's best to maybe not have a very short haircut, because a slightly longer haircut can, you know, hide/change the shape of your face, if that makes sense. I don't mean grow your hair super-long, I just mean a bit above shoulder length, I guess. But use Google, look up haircuts for men with curly hair, see what you think will suit you. At the end of the day, if you get a haircut that you end up thinking doesn't suit you, your hair will grow again and you can try a different one. I think experimenting until you find the right look for you is the best thing for anyone to do :)

Ok! I an really considering this cut now.  It is a bid difference seeing what a haircut looks like on a cisgendered male vs what it will look on me, especially Pre T.  So I have a hard time envisioning it.
But I figure I might as well give it a try. Hair grows back.

Again look for Cisgendered men with the same facial shape as you. Men have round faces too. Some styles look better on different facial shapes.

There is another style I've seen on some of my students with curly hair. It's almost like an undercut but not quite, it has tapered sides and back and gets progressively longer from the back toward the front. They usually use product to keep the style in check. It looks pretty nice on teenagers at least hah.

I think there might be a website out there for haircuts that you can upload a picture and 'try' the hairstyle on. Maybe pull your own hair back in a tight ponytail, take a picture and upload it to try hair styles on?

I have been trying to do that, but most of them seem to only be for women or you have to pay for them.
So unfortunately I have had no real luck.
I think what you are talking about is like a fade, which I have looked into.  I am debating between that and an undercut XD
>.> The cismale I have seen when I search for my facial shape is Jack Black.
There is something a little weird about trying to get a Jack Black haircut lol.

find someone else with a similar haircut as his if you feel funny bringing in his picture.  I take in a picture of a guy from a british sitcom for my haircuts.

Lots of people bring in celebrity pictures and the like I'd imagine.

Yep I did this before I passed. Hair dressers don't really care much about the gender of the the person in the picture. Just make sure you're clear that you want a squared neckline and squared sideburns.

Actually it's not really a fade either. I think it's called a coif? Maybe. A kind of hybrid of an undercut and a fade. There are a ton of different ways I've seen guys wearing an undercut also. Mine is more extreme since it is two definite different lengths with no fading or tapering what so ever. The guys I usually see with the same hair style have it tapered somewhat, usually in the back only.
