Let's see, my boyfriend finished his degree Friday, so was able to spend the weekend at my place to celebrate; I have booked my air travel for my GCS in June; my best friend just started her new job today (she is now working for the same company I do); the university I attended as an undergrad is flying me to New York in two weeks to serve on the LGBTQ affairs subcommittee of the alumni council; and my friend who is an emcee in NY is going to see if there are any venues where I can perform my poetry when I am there since I will just miss the poetry jam he is holding in Manhattan.

So came out at work to the girl that heads up the Pride LGBT group.
Thanked her for a Pride event last night.
She is a senior manager herself. Interesting to see what she says next time we meet up.

Oh and how many time can I say I love E and what it is doing to me.
Boobies are so wonderful and they are only getting bigger.

So so happy.

Seeing 2 MMA fighter's fight that are only 5'2 and 5'3.  AWESOME!  I'm 5'4 and it makes me happy to know there are MMA male fighter's that are short.

The best soccer player in the world, my lifelong idol, is 5'7". His chief rival, considered the number 2 player in the world, is 6'4". Many hockey forwards are 5'5"-5'9". Sometimes height has no bearing on how good you are and can be :)
Hey, you've reached Lauren's signature! If you have any questions, want to talk, or just need a shoulder to cry on, leave me a message, and I'll get back to you.

Teachers had no idea and had never heard of the condition we now call dyslexia back in the 1950's and since the words on the pages seemed jumbled up to me I was a slow reader and was unable to comprehend why Dick and Jane were saying "Oh, oh, oh, see Spot run" It seemed pretty stupid to me. I still write like that too, thank God for spell check to alert me that I have written a word backwards!

As a child I started out writing backwards.  Not just the words but the individual letters.  The reason for me was that I seemed to have learned my writing skills by mimicking the movement of the writer's hand rather than the way the words looked on paper.  Being left handed and copying what right handed people did to write out words and sentences in a purely mechanical way led to everything being in reverse.  Unfortunately, I was forced to conform and live with smudged pencil lead and ink on everything that I wrote :P
Discord, I'm howlin' at the moon
And sleepin' in the middle of a summer afternoon
Discord, whatever did we do
To make you take our world away?

Discord, are we your prey alone,
Or are we just a stepping stone for taking back the throne?
Discord, we won't take it anymore
So take your tyranny away!

I do my best to try not to remember the abusive teachers I had, and yeah, I thought the 'Dick and Jane' books to be pretty darn stupid as well

Got in quite some trouble for writing my own 'Dick 'n Jane' book, especially when I read it out loud in front of the class - Not my fault, that was the assignment and the teacher didn't proof read beforehand
