If you want cheerleading kinds of answers, we have a thread for that. I'ma gonna keep it real in here but compassionate at the same time because, I *know* what some forms of FFS cost (OMG) and I've seen the girls who can't pass no matter what alterations that they have. I'm lucky. I'm incredibly lucky and I know it. I'll give it to you straight without pandering to your assumptive weakness (which is BS trans misogyny, BTW) and tell you exactly what I see.

That said, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, WOMEN, PULL YOUR HAIR OUT OF YOUR FACE!

Everyone likes the flirty hair all framing the face and making that cute little teardrop (please see my avatar pic for what I look like daily as an example of my love for this) but if ya'll wanna know what you're gonna need for reals, I'd love to see a front shot with hair pulled back and a profile shot with the same. That's probably the only way that you'll get a realistic answer before going to see a surgeon for a consult.

Just disagreeing in one small point.

As this topic is "do I look, or could I pass as female?" the presentation counts a lot too...and I have noticed that the difference that a hair can make on me is stunning.

A few pages back you may find a post where I posted a few pics of me on different profiles and with my natural hair...I don't know if you have seem it...probably you would give a lot more harsh answers ragarding my nose, brow bossing, forehead and hairline (no ofense intended, I appreaciate your comments)...

But is with a female presentation that I want to try going out, and not the "boy" mode I was showing on the other pics. With this wig even those flaws can be less noticed and then, perhaps I can pass.

But just for reference, here they are...Please, hit me with all you got :D (and sorry if I am overflooding the topic...I think I am a bit narcisistic)

Well, let's get started. Wigs are noticeably wigs. Your hairline is receding currently so you'll need to get that addressed. You won't ever be someone who can pull their hair back until you do because you've got a very male-shaped upper cranial region. Other than that, these issues are minor and wouldn't necessitate FFS right out of the box. Maybe you'd want to, maybe not. The hair thing is way more important as that hairline is critical unless you're going to be a pretty little princess who never lets her hair fall out of place (ain't nobody got time for that.)

Generally, when I respond to this, I'm asking myself the question: "After HRT, will this woman be able to walk out without makeup, in a tee shirt, bra, panties, jeans, and tennis shoes and have an effortless time being accepted in society as her natural self in society?"

You really do look great all glammed up but, trust me hon, no one wants to have to chase that tiger every single morning.

Final bit: I really don't love this topic but I'm tired of dealing with the fallout from false expectations in the general forum.

You're pretty darned cute, you're going to do great! Resist the forehead frown or it will be permanent and you'll be doing a lot of botox. Looking really good though lady, love the duckface!
Thanks Shantel. I've been watching the forehead frown ever since you mentioned it. I may be too far gone there already. When normally relaxed I have the double lines on my brow. I can kinda make it go away if I focus on keeping my eyes more opened... but as soon as my mind goes to something else I relax and the lines are back.

It may be that I won't have a permanent solution until I get FFS and have my forehead done :/

Well you can always have a dermabrasion (not microdermabrasion) treatment at a dermatologist. It'll hurt like hell but at least it'll get rid of the lines! Just a note: you'll need a couple of days off work for recovery.

I'm looking for some advice on how "male" my mid-lower face looks, in general I think everything is male down to the "male smile". Also, is it possible for a brow ridge to be too deep to be corrected surgically? My nose, brow and buttchin are my biggest concerns right now. Thanks.

May I have some feedback?

Any suggestions? Criticisms? How am I doing? I'm pre-everything. No hormones. Do you think FFS is necessary in any areas?

Also, I understand my eyebrows need work regardless of if I keep them covered most of the time anyway.

Get yourself on HRT and see what the results are. FFS can definitely fix the brow but it'll be costly and very painful. You've just got a large maxillary sinus which needs reshaping. OTOH, you've got nice cheek structure and your jaw isn't to engorged so, there's a lot of plus sides to your face right now. HRT might make you passable 80-90% of the time without surgery but time will tell.

You're really young so, no, I don't think that you'll really need FFS unless you wait too much longer. That said... I CAN'T SEE YOUR BROW IN ANY OF THOSE PICS!!! Pull your hair back or put it under a cap turned backwards or a makeup band or whatever (I just don't want to see hair) and take a pic from dead-on-front with no angle at all, and from the profile (side view) with no distortion please.

How is this?

*gigglesnort* Well, dear, bumping up the brightness is a thing, I suppose. I still can't really see your forehead very well but, yes, if you jump on HRT before too much longer, you should stop most of the rest of the masculinization. GET YOUR BROWS WAXED!!! (jeebus those things are woah)... that'll go a long, long way towards what you want. But yeah, provided that you stop the T effects before too much longer, transition will be quite easy for you.

I'm going to point you back a few comments ago where I said that we need a picture... with your hair pulled back... straight on (not lower, like you're doing... actually, that's about the worst camera angle in the world to use) and one from the side (profile view, also with the hair back, pretty please). Don't smile, don't vogue, don't makeup. Those are the criteria which will give me the best ability to figure out your face.

Right now, all that I can say is that no, makeup/wig won't make you pass more than 50% of the time. Give me better pics and I might be able to give you more detailed feedback. I will say that getting your eyebrows plucked down to something like a reasonable thickness will be a godsend for you (but not a cure-all).

Unfortunately, I will have to wait at least a year and a half until I can start estrogen or anti-androgens

My father is quite restricting and doesn't support me transitioning, so I can't really do anything noticeably different to myself near him.

Well, if that's the case, then that's the case. Given that you don't have a guardian who will sign-off on HRT, you'll have to wait until you're 18 and so, yeah, you should do that. Given that you've given me a 1.5 year timeframe on this, I'll assume that you're 16 and so, even at 18, you should transition flawlessly with medical help.

Thank you! :) I'm glad to hear that's the probable case. I feel lucky because of the advantages I have (in terms of youth, appearance, and where I live).

I'm roughly 5 months in on HRT so far.  I'm actually living part time now.  I love swimming, and within the last month I crossed the point where I felt like I could no longer go swimming topless.  Luckily, the area I recently moved to has an LGBT based masters swim club that was very happy to have me come out and join their club.  They even told me to go ahead and use the women's locker room, which is something I didn't think I was ready for, but the other ladies in the club made me feel right at home.  I do have to say, getting away from a testosterone filled locker room was a much welcomed breath of fresh air.  I am so thankful that I can keep swimming, I think I would start to go insane if I had to give it up.  Living part time is also forcing me to work on my female voice a whole lot now.  Still have a ways to go on that part.

Anyways, here is a pic I took this evening when I got home from the pool.  Am I getting close to passing yet?

Thanks for the feedback, I think we all get lured into presenting what we feel is our best look whilst what is more important is how we look on our worst day wearing sweat pants.

I'll post some vanilla shots soon and mentally prepare myself.

I can't remember who it was that said "There is a thin and blurry line between honesty and cruelty, and honestly the last thing on my mind was cruelty".

Pull your hair off your face, babe. We're looking at facial structure here, not 'could my best glamor shot pass by someone?'
