Hi!

Today, I went to my second therapy session and I decided to go en femme. First time in public.
Flats, black stockings, black skirt, white drape t-shirt, gray cardigan and Kate Spade hand bag (I love Kate Spade).
I cheated a bit. I used my car and not the public transportation. Last week, I went to the therapist's office once as a dry run.
I planned to park as close as possible but couldn't today. I walked about 500m.
This is Tokyo, a Saturday afternoon. For a miserable 500m, I probably got clocked 1000 times.
I was super scared, sweating, etc. Yet nothing happened.
I'm going to do it again. That was great. Loved it. Well, once I left the office.

As the below selfie shows, yeah, I'm a male. Plus I kind of messed up my makeup. Arrrgggg...
I have to get rid of my beard and the rest of my hairs, ASAP. Plucking should stop. Also, I'm loosing my hair... T_T

No referral letter for HRT. It was a misunderstanding of my part. I'll have to wait a bit.
Next session in 2 weeks. Therapist is accelerating things.
Again, 15min session. Maybe not much to be said...
My "you are male!" voice is strong again. Despite that, I went out in femme, got clocked and survived.
My introduction if what I talk about above doesn't make sense: https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,161465.0.html

Awesome work Sonia, that must have been nerve wrecking and incrediably freeing. I personally am so anxious about the thought, and yet want it so bad ^_^

Congrats Sonia - I know that going out in public the first time takes a lot of courage.

The more you go out the easier it will get. Your presentation and makeup will improve as you gain experience.

You look quite femme to me!

Emily.T, Eva Marie > Thank you for the words of encouragement!

Nattie > It was more a challenge, to test me. Nerve wrecking yes, but the sooner, the better.

Tokyo must be super hard for passing, being taller than most and a westerner automatically draws attention, but I think on a positive note it might be easier on the social, behavioural, voice, etc since there are different traditions.

Congrats on your outing, may it be the first on many :)

Hugs

Antonia > Yes... but sometimes, a red nose and clown shoes would be just the same. That said, I've seen guys dressed as maid and other stuff. I wouldn't cast the first stone but Tokyo is full of weirdos...

It's on my top 5 list of places that I would like to visit so who knows, perhaps I'll discover first hand what it's like, but I think any city that sells used underwear from vending machines is probably pretty tolerant :)
