Great news for you Pat! Happy to hear about the girls. Now we need to go shopping again, lol! I might have to make another trip down for the event!

Had my 4 month checkup with my HRT doctor and everything looks great. My doctor is very happy with what she is seeing. Also while at Callen-Lorde, I started the process to get the paperwork ready for my gender change on my documents. I should have all the letters I need in a few weeks. All I have to do is wait for the NJ courts to get their act together on a court date.

The university counsellor told me she thought I was a cis guy when she first met me.
We also had a good, long talk where I felt like I was actually being understood.

I caught my reflection in the window and didn't recognize myself. I looked like a guy. That was an awesome moment

That's funny. I've never seen that movie. What is the name of it if you have time? You are smarter than me. I do not even know how to post a pic to Susan's Place. I tried once & gave up. I use my facebook page with most of my girl friends

:O You don't know Monty Python??? That's Monty Python and the Holy Grail

I wrote a paper back in high school arguing that Hamlet and Ophelia are actually the same person. I didn't actually believe it--I was just being dorky. For some hard-to-fathom reason, I did really well.

I did it cold turkey as well.  It's the only way I was ever successful.   I wanted to kill sh%t for about two weeks, but the last 2 1/2 years have been so much better without.  One thing I did when I had a nic fit that lasted more than a couple of minutes was to take a hot shower until it passed.   So you end up wet a lot for a couple of weeks...

Congrats!

Today my deposit for the orchi went through.  Woohoo!  Adios, pinches cojonitas.

Haha, wow, I wonder how you pulled that off. =/ Trying to make the connections and it just isn't coming to me.

I thought I was being rebellious. Looking back, it just seems immature.

As a teenager, I was rabidly skeptical about literary criticism. I felt that it was my moral imperative to battle standard interpretations of classic texts by offering validesque, yet completely absurd arguments.

So, I argued that Gatsby had an Oedipus Complex. And that Ophelia was actually Hamlet's second personality--that she represents the isolation, rejection, and subsequent death of Hamlet's compassion and humanity in favour of vengeance.

A crappy argument, but fun at the time.

I made a pity-party post on Facebook about having an awful day and then while I was on my lunch break someone left a $1 off receipt coupon for Peet's coffee. No one at my work place will admit to it, and many of my coworkers are also FB friends. Someone must've seen that post.

I went and had my hair and nails done today. It felt good and made me happy to be pampered a little. ;)

What made me happy was: Following a very extensive play rehearsal I got to spend time with love and get pants for my Prince Charming form for Prom in about two weeks. The greatest part was just seeing her. Always is the best time of the day.

CONGRATULATIONS !!

My chem lab prof said it was very impressive that I was going to school and raising a child at the same time. I think it's not a big deal, but the ego boost is nice.

My manager was told today about me being trans. He sent me a text saying "Needless to say, I will support you as much as I can. Please see me whenever suits you, feel free to bring someone with you if you want someone else there." Seems good so far.
