Thank you for your reply :)

How do I look now though, do I read as male? What are my male and female characteristics?
One way to look at it is if you were your sister with the female slant to your genes, you look like you'll do fine

That's fortunate because I have sisters and they're both quite pretty. I just have a hard time figuring out exactly what it is about my face that is masculine, and can't find anything in particular. Yet somehow I still don't always come across as female. Do I just figured I'd ask if I come across as female at all.

I've been trying to figure it out for a year now and I don't feel like I'm any closer :(

because your male and your body is guided by testosterone. You need estrogen to look female.

Yea, what I'm having a hard time with though is figuring out what the specific features are of my face that are masculine (or if there are any at all). I usually observe that males have muscular faces, lower cheek bones, wider jaw, broad chin, and smaller lips, but I don't have any of that, so I'm not sure what it is (so I'm left to assume that it's nothing) :(

I think your worrying  about things that you will only be able to differentiate after being on estrogen for a while, If I was a plastic surgeon I could probably give you a clinical evaluation but I'm not so  all I can say is  maybe find a transgender therapist to walk you through the possibility of transition, I think it would help a great deal to sort out your reason for transitioning. Maybe some other members can help you with your questions. To be honest I don't know how to answer your questions other to say your features are fine and hormones will most likely change your face a lot.

Yes, I understand. It's a learning process like any other. I don't really need help sorting out my reasons for transitioning, since I don't have any doubts or anything there. I'll mostly need the therapist to help me cope with the changes that I'll undergo in transition and help me out with my depression and such. Thank you for your assistance :)

I took these for another thread, so I figure I'd post them here just to see what people think. I'm not made up at all like in my other pics, but I figure it'd be good for people to see how I look "normally" without anything having been done to my face. I'm not on hormones or anything. Could I pass with hormones one day?

You already look fem! lol. Get on the E juice, I think it will do you wonders.

Go for it!  That would be fun.  Not as fun as girls with guitars though...

Is there a girls with guitars thread too? I'll post in both.

That could be arranged.  The only pics of me with a guitar are umm, outdated right now.   Maybe I should do a photo shoot?   I collect guitars in bright colors, so it might be fun.  Wish I had a pair of pink go-go boots to go with my paisley Telecaster!

Yesterday I had a meeting in a university located in the mainland. Some people commented that I now looker better and prettier, but two guys commented badly on both my makeup and fashion.

One guy said that I look like a barmaid, and the main factor is my dark makeup. Too much eye shadow and the too strong red lipstick. He recommended me to wear makeup conservatively. And the other guy commented that my skirt is too short, exposing the band areas of silk stockings.

Usually women tend to praise my fashion, but the first guy is too much critical. We later talked again for > 2 hours while drinking beer together. His point of talking was that I have better wear makeup conservatively to be matched with my age, if I indeed want to look pretty to other people. For this reason, I did not wear eye shadow today.

Anyway, whether I pass or not, I always used women's restroom. Of course, the guy also recommended me to enter women's.

An unusual moment happened. I once entered a restroom in the airport to pull up the stockings. When I raised the band areas in the front of mirror, one little girl there with her mom seemed to whisper like "looks like a man", but her mom seemed to dissuade her from saying further.

I expect more exciting moments while I am in Hawaii next week!

Hi Barbie, I think you always look great. :)

From the photos, I don't see any problem with your make-up. I do see what they mean by the stockings though, try go stocking free next time you wear that skirt.

Have from in Hawaii, I am jealous! :D

i have seen the most common thing that most transgender women do that gets them clocked, is that most don't dress their age which makes them stand out and when you stand out people look at you further to investigate, not to upset you barbie but i have always thought your skirts were a little young for you, i saw you in a nice knee length skirt and it looked really good imo

I think you look better in short skirts because your body is like that. Kids have this 5 th dimensional sense to them . they can see in the minutest detail because their brain isn't cluttered and they're like super sponges absorbing things.

If it was me being told by two guys how to dress, I definitely find some one else to have a conversation with. It seems kind of rude. If a girl friend tried to do the same thing I just tell them that it was an interesting point of view.

It is too short, just an honest opinion from another girl. The women who "praise your fashion" do you think they are really just being - polite? I don't know... I'd certainly want to know. lol.

Barbie you really are working it however. If you enjoy it then more power to you!  :D
