Aben, your pic is really dark and kinda hard to see, but judging from it I'd say you pass.
Beaver, I also think you pass. The gym might be an especially hard place to pass, but you'll get there soon enough ;) With your looks I'd say within a few months on T

Thanks guys. I started out really really androgynous, so I'm probably a little ahead of the game.

One week on T, I've been feeling really confident with all the changes that I have been experiencing, but didn't pass today at the gym. :(

Not only pass (in the picture), but also very attractive, handsome smile! =)

You're going to do great.

From the pictures, I think a lot of it is your facial expressions, actually. Your face just seems very relaxed (especially the eyes), which isn't a bad thing in and of itself, but I find that for a lot of people it emphasizes feminine features. When I take pictures of myself (rarely) I look directly into the camera, like it's a nemesis. :P Not like "omg camera I'm going to kill you and your babies right now" because that would be too much, lol, just with confidence and directness.
really? i never realized that. and i'm not very photogenic (wait, is there such a word in english?) so the only thing i know to do is smiling like an idiot or staring expressionless with that relaxed mood when i'm being photographed. i should try next time maybe, that too only if i manage to keep from bursting into laugh seeing my own expression. taking selfies is a very difficult task. oh and thank you. and i'm preT btw so things might improve.

I think the hair looks cool, and I actually think you look more masculine in the last two pics. I think it's the angle, but your eyes look quite feminine in the first picture, but in the last two pictures, they don't. I think you look good :)
cool! thanx dude! i guess i'm imagining things then. maybe my mom liking the cut sent me in the wrong direction, since she usually approves only the feminine stuff about me. eyes? maybe it's my loooong eyelashes which are quite visible in the first picture. i don't know what to do to them but i sort of like them, so they're going to stay like that. and it could just be the angle. also, my hair is already visibly longer (or taller to be exact- it grows radially outwards, not downwards. even when its several inches long) than in the photos and i'm feeling better about it. thanks for the feedback

Awesomeness! I tend to be pretty self-conscious as I'm currently overweight due to PCOS AND pre-t so any time I can 'pass' as a man is a good time in my book!

You look like a hot under-21 guy to me. The expression, pose, and shadows really lend to the 'male'. I wouldn't question that as a profile pic for a guy.
To be or not to be....that is the question

beaver - you are going to be a really handsome guy.  You will be beating them off with a stick!

Kam-I think you look good in this pic.  Good pose.  You have that pretty boy look with a strong sultry masculinity mixed in.  No worries, it is definitely male looking.  If you are looking for a date, many (both guys and girls), go for this look.

Jason - I definitely think the hair pulled back looks more male.  Better choice.

Etymologically-speaking, shouldn't photogenic mean "light-producing?"  :-\

Jason, I think you could go either way.  I'd say androgynous for now.  Honestly - you have serious potential with your features.  I do, however, think that at this point in time your hair is working against you passing for me personally.

I think Kreuzfidel is right Jason, your hair does work against you.  However, I think that what would make a big difference if when it is pulled back you make it completely flat on top.  When I see guys with their hair pulled back like that, it is flat, not puffy, which I think is more female.  Consider doing that and then reposting, if you want feedback.

Also, I agree with Kreuzfidel that you definitely have features that will serve you well if you take testosterone.  You have a heavy brow.

I actually agree with you, I know my hair works against me. But there are certain things I'm not going to sacrifice for the sake of passing (although passing would mean a lot to me), and my hairstyle is one of them, for the time being at least. I've taken to just tying my hair back whenever I go out, and I do think I look a lot less female when it's tied back as opposed to when it's out. Thanks for your feedback, it's appreciated :)

Thanks for your feedback, Brett, I'll try making my hair flat and see how it goes.

As it stands, besides simply wanting to keep my dreads, I just kind of feel like short hair wouldn't suit my face and would make it look even more feminine. What do you think?

I fully believe short hair would make you look more masculine. Your features are rounded, but they are strong. In the pictures with your hair pulled back, I can imagine it being short and I think it would work for you. Is your hair wavy or curly?
