Combat boots and hiking boots are always cool, but they always give me flashbacks to when I got lost on the mountains in North Carolina. Havent gone hiking since, lol

Did you have to saw your arm off?

Cuz that happened to James Franco. :P

Holy spigoli, how did I end up on the island of the Amazons? I mean, I'm the short one here! That's crazy! :D

Hahaha, I've never been called an amazon before. Now I'm tempted to do a wonderwoman cosplay.
We all build masks to hide behind, for we've all stepped into the bright world without those shells only to be broken and ridiculed. I'm tired of peering at the vast, beautiful but deadly world through these eye holes. I am taking off my mask, whatever may come.

Fortunately not. I ended up on top of the mountain and managed to find the parking lot I came from. I was pretty scared for a few hours though, as I only had teo granola bars and no cell phone service

No cell phone service is pretty scary, I agree.

You know what, I am too. And it needs to be better than that goofy 70s wonderwoman show I watched as a kid (no I wasn't a kid in the 70s, my mom just bought all the seasons and had me watch them)

So you are actually supposed to be on a diet before HRT? I thought the more you eat the better because then you'll most likely get more boobs XD

Cardio, cardio and cardio.  You already walk so walk more. I walk for km (miles in your case) at work and on a day off its at least 90min at aprox 8miles/hr maybe more. It helps that I can't drive and hardly take public transport.  This can help speed up your metabolism making pasta and ramen (generally cheap food) not as bad as people say even though they are full of starch and carbs.  I also do squats but they kill my knees so I can only do them in short burst.

Usually that's after, so the fat goes to the right place.

Ha, I walked 7 miles in one go yesterday, according to the pedometer on my phone, 589 calories burned. I ate maybe 1400 calories max. Not great, but I can't afford much in the way of food right now. With the exception of yesterday, my meal schedule has been oatmeal with coffee/tea for breakfast, ramen for lunch, pasta (with either olive oil, jarred sauce (not as of late) or one of my hommemade sauces) with vegetables for dinner. So yeah, carbs, cardio, now I should be on the weight gaining phase. When I started HRT about 2 and a half months ago, I weighed in 1t 168 pounds. Now, I doubt I weigh much more than 150 (I last weighed in at 152.3 2 weeks ago, haven't remembered to weigh since) so I've seen almost no breast growth over the last month, compared to April, when I had the cafeteria that was all you can eat, and I was surprised that I had any growth in the first month.

BTW, 8mph is pretty fast, Google Maps tends to estimate 3mph, with my legs, I get 4-5, at a normal pace. You're probably thinking KPH ;)

No that's converted 5kph. That was the distance between my place and school,  first bus to leave and I could still beat it home. Google maps is an average fitness plays a big part of it and the incentive to just get there when you don't have the money to spend on bus, train or a taxi. Old habits do die hard.

With food and weight what are the prices of nuts in your area? (I know finance are not your friend right now). I drop weight to quickly and friends suggested keep mixed nuts nearby as I can't always have a break at work. It has helped stabilize the weight loss problem for me.

I think you converted backwards; 5kph = 3mph ;)
Multiply km by .62, divide miles by .62 for approximations.

For "shorter" distances (under 10 miles/ 16km round trip) I try to walk as much as possible. When going to the therapist, for example, is 13 miles round trip, and would take nearly three hours to walk that. That's when I take the bus, which I still have a fair bit of walking to do. The nearest bus stop of any use is 1.5 miles away, and fortunately the bus drops me off close to where I need to go.

I have no idea. Really any protein would be great for me, as I know I don't get enough of it. I have part of a jar of peanut butter, with no bread. Been eating out of it with a spoon.
I'm not sure what the price is for a bag/jar of mixed nuts is, but is bound to not be terrible.

Don't I feel sheepish (baaa). The sad thing is I work with numbers all day working out mental arithmetic in my head and did high level maths at school. :icon_redface:

I do know I have hit 10k/h numerous times but I was at extremely emotional and that was only an hour how long I could hold it for who knows. (Anger,  desperate to get home, happiness)

Peanut Butter (drooling) very good if you need protein and want to put on weight.  Beans and legumes are also good sources of protein and are usually cheaper if bought loose instead of tin.  Thou most do need to be prepared first and while you can (I have and do) eat them on there own they are not as tasty sometimes

Being on the south end of 110 lbs all thru high school, with 26" waist.. at abt 5'10" til second yr of college.. I ballooned to 124 when I got married @ 26 yrs old.. Btwn our cooking and stress, work, etc.. I'm btwn 154 and 161 now.. and 32"waist guy jeans.  My heaviest was 168, but cutting out 4-8 coffees and nearly all soda I dropped almost 15lbs. I'm a women's size 10 boot, 9 1/2 sneaker.. 7/8 jeans, I don't know my dress size tho.  I will have to find that soon.  Losing the weight was easiest cutting out the soda.  I think breads, glutens will be next.  Kinda sad abt my new Spiro, I LOVE bananas but knowing they're a bit fattening, really limiting them will help too.

Right.. No talk abt Wonder Women.. How do you feel abt Xena? ;)  (tho, -she's- definition of an Amazon)

Should I lose some weight if I'm 142 and 5'5'? D: I'm kind of an average weight
