I know the feeling. A lot of my friends think I'm too skinny now, and crazy to want to lose that last 5 lb's. What they don't understand though is I know my body and what weight range it feels best in. And that's 110 to 115 lb's. At 5 ft. 5 in. tall I was 118 last week. I haven't weighed yet this morning but I will in a few hours when I get up, and hope I'm on my way back down.

Best wishes,
Ally :icon_flower:

I'm the woman who started this thread in a roundabout way. I weighed 162 in May of last year, but lost my motivation and/or discipline to diet, and I gained 20 lbs. Around Christmas I begged you ladies for some help in trying to lose weight because I was feeling very fat and unappealing. Well, I'm three lbs. heavier, 185.5, so I'm going to do the Friday weight thing for real now. I'm sick of being too heavy for my clothes and my positive self image. Hugs, Mira

Birthday week, so I am okay with a 0.8 pound gain. A long ways to go yet, but the trend is still reasonably positive, and I actually think the belt notch continued to decline. That or I am simply getting stronger and stretching that darn belt out!!!  ;)

360+  at my highest weight when I found out I was type II. Went to 340 from ketosis, then with off and on half-hearted efforts over ~6 years to get to 300 on 1/21/2014. My daughter attributes it to living honestly, which makes life easier in the ways that matter most.

mini update: Yes the waist still went down, woot! I tried on a pair of 36 waist jeans which were too tight to wear for practical reasons, but it was unbelievable just a few months ago that I would even be able to do such a thing. Chucking the 46 waist pants I tie on with a rope LOL, still need to suffer the 44's as I only have two 40's but I do have to dig out some more old clothes as I think I have a few in the basement from the 90's.  :o

(Rolling averages are a better indicator of progress than single data points.)

Oops.  I gained a pound.  My 7-day average rose 18oz in 3 days during the week, before dropping a small bit on Friday.

Worked 57 hours this week over 4 days, with 7-8 hours of drive time as well.  Eating a lot allows me to keep working without falling down, but it is adding a few pounds on the days I indulge.  The Prometrium is also making me full of poop, requiring me to take something to counter that more often than I would like.  As I write, I realise that there has also been a distinct lack of porridge in my life this week.  That is probably not helping either.

For now I need to concentrate much more on work than anything else.  Even with 4 straight weeks of overtime, the finances still have quite a way to go before being OK.  At least there is a little light at the end of the tunnel.  (Which may be the oncoming train of unintentional disclosure ... I'm not sure how my colleagues can't see that something is up.)

I'll still be here every week.  And I'll still hope to at least not have gained any weight.

Two years after having both my hips replaced and the long road back to a 100%. I finally have the body back I had before. Strong core little ab action going on....awesome!!! We'll :( after a doctors appointment on Monday my 1st replacement might be failing, I will know more in 3 weeks but I'm so f'n nervous right now. If I need another surgery I could be down for 3 to 6 months (crying) all the hard work I've done will have gone to ->-bleeped-<-. Waiting on a blood test to see what kind of metal is in my system. Fml . Pre surgery 2012 I weighed 175 today 146.3 lbs

Well I got the call tonight from my doctor great guy by the way.  :'( I will need a full hip replacement on my left leg. Thought the results wouldn't be in for 3 weeks but sooner the better I guess. The chromium level is 7 times higher the the highest limit and rising. Sorry you guys shouldn't have hear my problems but I need somewhere to vent.

Sorry to hear this MyKa  :(    I hope your recovery is shorter rather than longer.

And you may vent away here.  No-one will think any less of you for doing so; quite the opposite.

Keep visiting.  Even when you don't feel like it - maybe more so then.  We may not always comment on your thoughts, but we do listen   :)

MyKa, no worries, hon.. vent away.. that's why we're here, to vent and be vented upon ;)  I hope you are not in any pain, and pray you will be whole again soon.

My weigh in.. just now.. eh.. in stasis I guess.. static.. little change..

155.2, t shirt and pantties, and.. um.. "empty".. so close to true weight.

155lbs, 5' 10", 22% BMI if you follow that sort of thing..

5-6 lbs lower is my goal. 150lb target.  But unless someone installs a gym in my house, its not likely to happen.  I guess just more water.. a little less eating.. or just smaller amounts, but when you spend 4days/week on the road, there isn't much choice.

Sorry to hear Myka, but yes we are here to hear, and provide support. Hopefully you can keep from eating meaningless calories and focus on what is needed for the surgery and recovery process. The less weight on the hip I am sure the better. Lots of positive posts this Friday though, great to see such success. I even got back in on the mix with a solid week for the first time in a while. Best week I have had in over a month so I will take it!  >:-)

Hi Toni, and the rest of you girls here in Friday Weight.  I'm not gone, but I'm also not visiting much, or posting.  I didn't mean to leave abruptly, but life changes and so did I.  Happiness and hope are tied in all of us, and one day last month that knot just happened to hold me tight while the rope pulled me forward.  (I know this sounds like unabashed mush, but I'll continue anyway.)

Two years ago I was probably one of the most messed up girls on Susan's, and I saw no solution for achieving a comfortable life.  But here I am .... happy.  And since I'm not extraordinary this has got to be really damn common.

Yeah, I've moved on, but I'll look back once in a while and call out for you to follow along.  Don't know why I was worried about the future, because now that I'm here there really wasn't anything to fear.

Anyway, I'll just say goodbye for now, and we'll talk later.

Take care girls.

Oh yes 200 lbs this AM.  Not good and not bad, but tomorrow was made especially for me to work on this weight thing again.

Peace. K
