Hey y'all,

My estradiol is waiting in the pharmacy to be picked up for $19.27. Problem is I won't get paid for another week. What will happen? anything nothing? I still have spiro and  medium high dose of it, so my T is totally suppressed. I'm finally starting to look all pretty and unpassable as a guy and I'm so worried all my 15 months of work and taking pills like it was clockwork, this. I gave my BF money to move in but that isn't until June because he is going to his mom's and his (our) messy, grimy, drama starter biotch is there so I wouldn't want to be around her without him. Plus, she started drinking again and it's okay cause it's only one 24 ounce of 11 percent alchie. I need a break from him anyway since we spent every second or everyday ('cept for sleep and even then...BJs, cuddling and sex) so it's good. But wow that was a tangent...is there someway to get Estrofem for cheap somewhere? Cheaper than 90 pills for $19

I regularly purposely miss a week to reset. nothing happens at all in fact i think it's a benefit

I have heard that Target and Walmart have Estradiol pretty cheap. I get mine at Costco and I think it was $13.50 for 180 pills. I think you need a membership card to use the Costco pharmacy, but there be various state laws requiring unrestricted access like with alcohol sales etc. You might call them and ask.

I went without E for 5 days and it wasn't that bad until the 5th day. That day completely sucked. Hot flashes, topped off by a horrible emotional crash later that night. Just for the record, I am post orchi and I haven't taken Spiro for a few years.

I have used this site to find the cheapest perscriptions in my area and it seems to work well, and save me tons, and if you don't have insurance it may even give you discount.  Worth a try!

a week is not really that long, and you won't really rollback, you don't have a credit card you can put it on..? I use credit a lot so I have a safety net so I can get the stuff I need.

The good thing is that you have the Spira to keep your T levels down. So you should be good.

A week won't make any difference in the scheme of things.

You might feel a bit crappy - just like a lot of ladies who are on injections feel like. Or cis women when their hormones are in flux. But it won't undo your progress to date.

Also, folks? Please don't post links to online pharmacies...not allowed. Ta.

I am in this situation now  , have to cut back on Spira and Estrogen until I can see a doctor to get more. It sucks.

Thanks. But $20 is the least expensive I can get it. i already go to a pharmacy that offers discount to clients of Mazzoni.

Well I'm getting a credit card, but it only has a $500 limit, and I'm using that for LHR. I've been on HRT for 15 months and don't pass as a guy no matter what I do, wear, don't wear, shave. But I'm so sick of it and I've been hesitant cause once I do this, there's no going back, I'll be gendered female no matter what.

You'll be fine, hon.  You can always request to buy smaller amounts say like half or even a quater of your prescribed amount and ask the pharmacist to keep the rest on file.  I do this all the time when I'm in that situation.  Also, if you can't get a script from your doctor or endo, and you need your meds, sometimes the pharmacist (under their own descretion) will often dispense up to a weeks supply if you take that med regularly.  Or you can request for generic forms of the medication to reduce cost as well.

Well it's just my personal impression but I sometimes feel like I've stalled on continuous dosage. If I miss a week, when i start again,, it feels like the changes start up with more vigour. The main reason I take a  break though is that I'm not convinced on the half-life and I like to start from scratch.
Don't worry about manning in a week. I was off mones for eight years after being on them for about fourteen and it takes years to remasculinise.

What they don't tell you, is your Johnson will grow a full inch, and you will no longer wish to transition.

Since it is Susan's, I will also admit the above was a joke.

I hate explaining my jokes...

I go the Mazzoni center and they have deals with two walgreen's but you have to buy the whole thing, or at least $11, so it's worth it to buy all of them. I looked elsewhere and it's way more expensive.

Yeah, I heard this before. So, I guess I'll give it a try. But you'll sure I won't masculnize? I still have spiro so my T isn't going anywhere. And yah my boobs haven't hurt in awhile so maybe it will help. I just came so far and I don't want to go back, even slightly.

Physically I'm sure nothing will happen and I'm certain you won't go back.

BUT how many comments have you seen here where people describe their first few days of HRT? Speaking for myself, I'm very stable mentally and have a que sera attitude but I can't say how you'll react mentally. You'll be fine as long as you don't start panicking and looking in the mirror every second trying to see something that doesn't exist.

I'm on patches and you can do three week on and one week off so it's not a problem

It isn't an online pharmacy, if you're referring to my post.   Its's just a service that finds which pharmacy in your area is selling your perscriptions for the cheapest.

Apples Mk.II

I think I will be getting some extra boxes from my old online DIY provider. During that stage I was always stocked on hormones, but now that I need to use prescriptions every month and local pharmacies, they are always missing something (like the estradiol gel today). After december's two weeks off HRT, I don't like the idea of being out of pills.

Joanna- if you have a paypal account I can send you the money right now.

The form of E I happen to take has a very short half life and I have an understanding of the bad things that happen if I don't take it.
