Hello guys, I was wondering what your testosterone levels were in your blood-work when you first got tested after being on T?  I just got my results and mine seems to be on the low normal male range however I didn't think it would increase THAT much for already being on a low controlled gel dose.
I am male because I say so and nothing more.
I don't have to look or act like one therefore.

So what are your levels?

I've had 3 blood tests since starting. My second test, 3 months on T said I was at 1154 3 days after injection

:o :o  Do you inject weekly, or....? And has it gone down since then?

I inject weekly, and my last test, at about 2 1/2 months, read around 850 three days post-injection, which is a lot higher than my doc would like it to be -- and that's on a very low dose. She said she'd like to see it around 600. About 800 is the maximum amount in cis males. But we're leaving the dose the same for the next two months, and we'll see what happens then.

Low normal range seems fine for a low dose... especially since you get a more consistent level with gel than with injections.

I inject weekly. My last test which was 2 weeks ago read 1053 and that was 5 days after injection. I feel great at this level. My doc is very happy with it, too. He actually gave me the ok to come in every 6 months now instead of 3. All my other levels are fine so I think everyone's ideal T level is going to be different.  :)

Huh. That's interesting, that your doc is happy with that level...

I know I feel great with my current level, also -- so I was pretty relieved when my doc said she didn't want to change it.  I think one issue is that I'm post-menopausal -- at one point when she was thinking it over, my doc muttered "Well, your ovaries are sleeping..."  She told me up front, when I first saw her, that there's essentially no data on guys who transition this late, so I get to be a guinea pig of sorts.

I've read a lot of docs are fine with that high of a level, even higher as long as it's not being converted to E and other levels check out. The only thing my doc said about levels at first was that he just wants me in a "normal" male range and to feel good.
I'm also not post-menopausal. So I'm sure that changes what docs want their patient to be at. Like I said, everyone is going to have a different ideal level depending on many different things. What matters is you feel good! I'm glad you're feeling good where you're at.

Last time mine were tested, they were mid-range for normal male levels.

Mine came out as 390 and I was really surprised to have it go that much up because I am taking a low dose.  I was wondering what would happen if I were to have the same amount of female and male hormones in my system?
