So, a couple exciting things happened these past 7 days. Last Friday I was finally able to sit down with both my dad and step mom and talk about my transition plans. I hadn't spoken with my step mom about this before and they were both extremely supportive and just wanted to know what they could do to help me. I was honestly a little surprised by how positive and non judgmental their reactions were. Yesterday they told my siblings, I haven't been over to see how they took it yet, but now they know, so that's one less thing to worry about. And more excitingly, I went to the hormone clinic yesterday (conveniently the same place I go to see my therapist). It took forever to get in, and go through all the disclaimers and what not. And apparently my blood doesn't like to come out, but 3 people and 8 different needle pokes later I finally was able to give all that I needed. Just kind of waiting now, but much closer to actually starting now.

I've sort of constructed a brief timeline of my experiences so far, it's not all that long yet, but It's been a nice way to keep track of what I've done and when.

Mid December 2013, Decided to come out to a friend.
Late December 2013, Saw Therapist for the first time.
Early January 2014, Told Mom, Took it well.
January 12 2014, First Girl haircut.
Mid January 2014, Told Girlfriend, Took it well.
February 7 2014, Career Counseling at Therapy Center
Spring Semester at Sac state, 2014, Told a lot of friends.
March 19 2014, Went to therapy dressed female for the first time.
March 22 2014, Coming out party with friends.
April 11 2014, Told Dad, took it well.
April 16 2014, Started Biotin (for hair and nails)
May 9 2014, Step-mom was told, took it well.
May 16 2014, First Hormone clinic/blood work appointment.

That's all for now, I kind of just wanted to share.  :)
Live a life with no regrets and be the person you know you were meant to be.

I am a weird girl, I like video games and skirts, swords and nail polish, sharks and black lace...not sure if that's normal, definitely sure that I don't care. =P

Good for you... Sounds like you are well on your way... Glad you have your parents support. That is really a big deal.

Is the avatar picture you? If so, you have a great start even without hormones. Supportive family is a real blessing. I'm happy for you.

Yeah. The avatar is me, and thank you. I have heard similar things from my friends. I'm still really looking forward to starting and seeing some of the physical changes. I am also rather curious how many of the mental changes people experience are a result of the hormones themselves or just psychological changes that are more of a side effect of being further along in the transitioning process. It should be an exciting summer if all goes as planned. :D
