Well I guess It's pretty obvious anymore. I'm MtF ^~^ However I have some questions that I just don't know the answers to. While I don't plan on ever doing SRS, I don't really have the right to say so right now, as things change I guess. Anyway. I have far more important things I need some help on. But in order for it to make sense, and to get relevant answers and help, I need to give some medical information.

I have Panhypopituitarism. I have to take adrenaline hormones, thyriod hormones, formerly growth hormones, and...~gulp~ Testosterone. I'm now refusing that one because I don't want to get a deep voice and become more hairy. (I feel dirty when I'm hairy, and I shave already, why would I want more to shave off?) I'm not sure how my endocrinologist will take it, but my mom's not happy about it. (I'm 26, living with parents due to said medical issues. There are reasons I can't live alone but it'd take forever to explain it all, and it's not really relevant.) Strike that... it is relevant. If I over-stress I can go into an adrenal crisis and die.

I'm worried about how HRT might work for someone like me if that time comes. I would like to go that route in the future but...How will MtF HRT work for someone already on HRT for thyroid and adrenaline replacements? (In this case prednisone) I guess I may not need A-Blockers because I don't make nearly enough T on my own. But still. Do you think they would ever let someone in my situation do that?

Anyone out there hae expirience with HRT while already having hormonal issues?

I don't think this is a question that can be answered by anyone other than an experienced endocrinologist. But, I don't really see why it should be an issue. If they're giving you testosterone already, just swapping it for estrogen is about as simple as HRT gets. I actually think that you're a little bit lucky in this respect, because taking anti-androgens can be the most dangerous and side effect prone part about HRT, and you won't have to worry about that. ;) Just be careful about stopping the testosterone all at once, because the effects of testosterone deprivation can hit your body like a ton of bricks if it happens too quickly.

I agree miyuki. honey, rayne take it slow and i am trying to help. and if i have to get two jobs instead of one then i will but i really want you to live somewhere peaceful so you can make those choices.

Well I'm focusing mainly on questions so that I might be prepared. These are not things that I have to worry about for a long time. Just something that I am curious about. ^~^ (I've already said so to Li, yay skype and voice/video!) But I can't say I am not curious. And yes, an endocrinologist opinion is really the one needed. But for all I knew others here have hormonal issues and would have some insight.

My hormonal issues were much simpler than yours.   I was simply hypogonadic.  Low testosterone.

I was exposed to DES before birth, as many of my generation were.

I took testosterone shots regularly for several years, and it didn't make me more masculine.  On the contrary, much of the testosterone converted to estradiol with all that implies.  There is an enzyme called aromatase which converts testosterone to estradiol.

Healthy men and women have both estrogen and testosterone.... just in different proportions.  Testosterone can give you strength and energy, and by increasing red blood cells carry more oxygen throughout your body.

Item one on your agenda should be to get as healthy as you can and stay that way for as long as you can.

I don't mine exercise. Though you didn't need to suggest that here. ^~^ I could stand to loose a few pounds, but I'm just glad I'm not overweight much probably 170 at most right now ^~^. I wouldn't mind getting to 150 eventually. And healthiness is always good advice for any problem really. ^~^
