Hello ,

I guess there is no point in this topic , just a need to vent and try to accept what the life is giving to me ..
I had FFS on first day of May and it was really a traumatic experience , mostly emotionally . After the bandages were removed , I just couldn't see myself in the mirror , the face there , beside being swollen , didn't made me feel like I saw myself  .
After maybe a little more than a week , I was happy because I could see myself in the mirror again  .
On May 12 I had my nose cast removed and I could see my face entirely free . It was so cute , the same me , yet feminized exactly how I wished .
Now I feel like the nose of my tip doesn't stay that lifted anymore and after searching something about that it seems that it is normal to drop a little after the swelling decreases and also it may drop because of the surgery itself  .
I am just so depressed  ,  I liked it so much  after the nose cast was removed , ten days ago .  It is cute now too but I am worried not to drop even more  .   I don't have money for another surgery .
I am worried that I will hurt it myself doing all kind of taping like I saw in some online videos  .  I just hope it will stabilize it a little , although many say that it will not help  .

I don't want to say anything about the surgeon , because it may be something normal or , maybe I even am a little mistaken about the scale of the dropping and the problem it is not so serious  .  Yet it really contribute to my deep depression .  Hopefully , it will not be affected even more by me  .

I had a rhinoplasty already (scheduled for ffs soon)

I went through so many emotions within the first month, no matter what anyone said my head would be clouded with depressed thoughts.

Now I love my nose, and I hope you will too.

My tip did drop, but not very noticeably, however this should reassure you, the tip will be very very swollen now, and likely wasn't when you on the day you got the cast removed. it swells up when the cast is removed, the cast is on there to stop swelling basically, so when its removed you will swell up, a day or so after removal, maybe making your tip look more extended?

I can assure you, if you liked your nose when the cast was removed THAT IS A VERY GOOD SIGN most surgeons will say no complaints until so many months etc.

You will be fine dear especially since you liked it when cast was removed trust me when I say this!

Thank you for reassuring me , I feel better  .
It is just that my nose was ' new ' , girlie , and I loved it . It fitted me so good and it made me look so feminine . If the nose tip drops again to the male shape I will be so sad .  I am now three weeks post-op  and ten days since the nose cast was removed .

Thank you again , I hope my nose will look ok after it heals and stabilizes .

I had FFS in August 2013, I have one little bump on the tip of my nose that still has not gone. I was told that it may take up to a year. So frustrating because I do still need more work to my nose and chin, as the surgeon was far too conservative. Im hoping that I wont have to go back to the same surgeon, I was thinking of femilife, but my first choice is Dr Chettawut in Thailand, as I regard him as one of the best FFS surgeons in the world. Obviously after the first unsuccessful FFS, money is short, but Ive checked Dr Chets prices and I think I will be able to afford to have it done by him. I am now waiting to hear back from him. Sorry to go off topic.

I hope your issues get solved, just wondering about what you like about Dr chet? I never researched him, only Us doctors (im from uk)? Would be nice to hear what you like about his work as I don't know much about him.

Rhinoplasty swelling will still be very noticeable throughout the first 6 months or so usually- especially in the tip. It's probably swelling that has found its way downward toward the bottom giving the appearance of the tip dropping.

Don't worry. How your nose looked right after cast removal is VERY indicative of the final result. But that will take up to a year, maybe more. I have read that for some it takes up to two years for the nose to finally rid itself of the swelling.

Just look at it this way, you have a lot of greatness to look forward to :) Just be patient, swelling in the nose takes a LONG time to clear.

I'm in the same boat, but I knew this going into it so I guess I am much more relaxed about it. I am 1 month post op after my rhino and the tip is still very swollen. I have read that around 2 months it starts to get much better!

When I first looked into FFs he seemed to be the "man of the moment", so I went for a consultation with him in Thailand. He was very knowledgeable and it was a thorough consultation. I just knew he was the surgeon I wanted to do my surgery. When he e mailed me the costs I was very disappointed as it was so expensive. I have just had his quote for doing the revisions to my nose and chin and again they are so expensive. I thought, looking at his price guide on his web page, that having surgery with him was possible but he seems to hike the price up. I expect for Thai nationals there is one price, and for "Ferrang" there is another. So I'm back to square one. Im also in the U.K in Kent, I am going to get a quote from Dr Musgrove and the other British Surgeons.

As others have pointed out already, the first few months there is movement going on, so you shouldn't be alarmed about it I think. In my country, there are a lot of cis girls going around with perfectly girly girl, operated noses with the cute point, and I personally think it's kind of weird to see so many perfect, operated noses around. Each nose with its own lil' flaws has its charm in my opinion, if you are worried about the tip dropping somewhat, I think it should be no big deal and you will be fine with your own unique nose :).
