I've read that estrogen depletes magnesium in the body leading to a rise in calcium and causing blood clots.  Anyone else heard of this?

Magnesium, NEVER! Could you cite the source, the studies? Is this the case with oral and non-oral estradiol? With bio-identical and non bio-identical?

Blood clots seem to be much less a concern when bio-identical estradiol is taken, especially non-orally. The risk significantly increases with other forms of estrogen such as birth control pills, ethinyl estradiol, Premarin and DES.

Androcur and Provera slightly raise risk of blood clots as well, it seems, according to reports and studies.

Ditto.

I have low magnesium because I use diuretics.  My doctor keeps checking magnesium levels and has me on a supplement.  This is surely something to discuss with your doctor.

These claims must be backed up by studies or else they just remain claims, non facts. And what do they mean by "high" estrogen levels. It's too vague, it must be specified.
