Hey guys. I am looking for a doctor to do my hysto this summer. I have contacted a local doctor but the waiting time would be too long.
I just so desperately want this done really soon, like today (not literally today, but that's how urgent i feel).
I absolutely cannot tolerate having this organs in me anymore, and I have a lot of stuff to do this summer so I really need to get this scheduled out of my way.
Please please help if you know any doctors who is good at this surgery, willing to operate on transmen and can do it soon. I'm in NY, so I prefer someone close to me, but I can travel if I have to.
Thanks a lot!

SX0877, can you give a infor about yourself, age and any medical reason for needing a hyster.  I will be looking for a dr in yr maybe 2 for the same and have no idea on how to find one.  I am 23 now and have no medical reason for one other than I want to be rid of those parts as I need to have them in me.

Same age, 1 year on T. healthy and no medical reason. I just need to get rid of them. Also I move from country to country, so it is really urgent that I get this done before I move away and have to go through another country's health system/trans policies etc.

Your local endo can likely refer you to one who will help. Have you  asked?

Thanks chipper and LordKat!
Yes my t prescriber referred me to someone and made that doctor agree to to my surgery, but that doctor's schedule is so full that he can't do anytime soon. So I am just thinking looking around.

I don't know anywhere you can get things done quickly, sadly, unless it is an emergency.  Which it feels like, I know.

I used a referral from my GP but I wasn't out at that time; turns out she IS trans friendly and likely the ob/gyn that did my surgery is as well. I don't recall how long I had to wait, though, but I'm sure it was a couple of months.  I'm not far from NY and you can PM me if you want for names.

Also, Doesn't McGinn in PA do hystos on trans guys?  Again, not sure what her wait time would be, either.

McGinn's site says she does it in conjunction with metoidioplasty (for an extra $5,000).  I don't think she does just a hysto.  Rumer and Leis (also both in/near Philly), don't mention hystos.

Thanks for all the help! I think I'm traveling back to my home country where trying to see a doctor is not like seeing the president.

McGinn's website says it MAY be done in conjunction with other procedures but doesn't say it has to be.

I've found a surgeon in PA who is trans friendly, and does hysto (with optional removal of overies) http://www.drchristinemcginn.com/services/srs/ftm_other.php I haven't been to her myself, but she has a good rating on tssurgeryguide
