Its just a thought Jessica, but do you se this site like I do? keep refreshing recent topics? it might be that, those bigger on the inside parts don't show up on the outside. aka mod room posts don't show in recent topics? just a thought. :) (don't know if its true)

Edit ---

That explains things, been wondering who'd been muckin' about in there

Keep. The issue is people passing off pics that they say are them which aren't. You're not doing that so there's no problem. :)

Exactly. Mine has changed many times. For a while, it was Archer from the animated TV show. I've often thought he represents the little devil on my left shoulder. The little angel on my right shoulder is Lucifer.

I used to post pics on the site a lot and every one of them was 100% me. I may not be the prettiest woman in the world but I am real. And my life is my real life no fantasy online transition for me. I'll admit I used to over share pics quite a bit because of my own insecurities. But since gaining confidence in myself as a woman I don't feel that need anymore. :)

That picture is of myself and my loving husband.  She and I have been through too much to pretend about anything.

I've had a number of avatars here over the years.  Early on I used some of the site provide ones.  It took great courage the first time to post a picture of my true self.  It was part of my coming out process.  I wanted the world to know who the real "me" was.

I do admit that there were times when I used avatars to express how I felt rather than what I actually looked like.  For several weeks I used the creature from the black lagoon following my FFS.  Besides, I didn't really think you wanted to see my swollen and bloody face.

I may change my avatar again, after all isn't that a woman's prerogative?  But whatever it changes to, it will be who I know myself to be.

I gave up pretending a long time ago.

I have seen a few posts around here lately that I knew were bull->-bleeped-<-. It is irritating, but it is the internet after all. I just let the ole' BS Filter do it's thing.

Thank you, mods for curbing this though, because as we know it can eventually get too deep to walk through.

I do not think I have enough time to deal with my own life much less maintain a second fantasy alternate reality.

So true.  I don't get it either.

Excuse me, but I have to go feed my pet unicorn and chase some leprechauns off my lawn now.  :P

And OMG, I pity anyone who jerks off to my pics.

One person like this has been banned for 7 days. We give people enough rope to get themselves into trouble then when they do...

I've posted my picture ever since I was allowed to, but I am fine with however someone wishes to present themselves as long as it is not fraudulent.  It is troubling, but not unexpected that some posts are from phantasmal creations.  This place it too important for misrepresentation to be tolerated as an ongoing state.  I have presented deeply personal thoughts, and share both revelation and sorrow here.  It is sad, but I guess I am grateful for the rules, and for the people who care enough to be watchful.  Thank you Susan, and all of your crew.

I'm not sure it's been mentioned yet, but it's also not fair to the person who's picture you're using. You're misrepresenting them. I've had my picture used on Grindr before I even was using Grindr myself. I met someone for the first time who had all these preconceived notions about my personality that were not accurate because that person wasn't me. Good thing he told me he saw me on Grindr so I could correct him and point out that I was not on that app at all. It's not polite at all.

I did actually later get on Grindr and ran it a few times over the next several days and now I never run it. I'm just too old for that sort of tomfoolery.

I like to use forum avatars to mainly celebrate my Doctor Who fandom, currently it's Juliet Landrau as Lady Trey a future incarnation of the former travelling companion of the Doctor's, Romanadvoratrelundar (or Romana for short, played on telly by Mary Tamm and Lalla Ward).  Before that it was Emma G. Chambers as Alice Tinker from The Vicar of Dibley who was dressed in a 10th Doctor costume.  I make no excuses for my fandom, the show's been a part of my life since I was six years old and watching VHS and DVD copies of the stories has been at times one of the support mechanisms I've relied on to keep me sane and alive over the years before I was able to come out and transition.  Though if it becomes a rule to use just images of myself then so be it
