Odd reminiscences of younger days...

There was a mgr. when I worked at a Sizzler's restaurant, he was pretty much a nice guy and none of us were quite sure as to where he was from, but he was always yelling "Hop ti bobby!!! I ->-bleeped-<- on the floor!!!" and holding his hand under his butt... None of us ever quite knew what he meant but it always brought a smile and a bit of a chuckle

This interaction between two young boys in my gym's changing room at lunchtime today:

Boy #1, waving his underwear around: "Wave your pants in the air like you just don't care!"

When I was a kid back in the 1970s, it was pretty common for kids to ride in the backs of bakkies (what Americans may call pick-up trucks, or British folks may call a 4x4, or Australasians may call a ute). Here's a pic I found on Google of some random kids doing the same thing... I fondly remember standing in the back of a bakkie holding onto the rollbar like those kids, bombing along bumpy dirt roads at high speeds. 



Now that was fun. 

The South African authorities discourage it now. Something to do with South Africa's high road death toll or something...

My cat has been showing stalking behaviors towards a family of blue jays outside, but his version of sneaky involves a lot of meowing. I'm pretty sure those jays could wallop him in a fight. xD

My kid tried to brag about her candy from the comic shop to the guy at the corner store by showing him the half-eaten candy. I understand being proud of that score, but it made me laugh that she felt like she needed to prove it.
