So let's see a raise of hands, who here is still wearing mens briefs right now?

I threw out all my male undies around 2 years ago. So all female panties here.

When I did wear male underwear it was boxer briefs. I couldn't stand full boxers as they left too much room for things to move around.

Unfortnately I do. But only to work. But as soon as I get home those things come off for some nice panties.

Yuck. Hell no!

I ditched those damned things for good back in the fall of 2011, a year and a half before even starting transition. I've been wearing Hanes Cotton Stretch hipsters ever since then, and there's no way in hell I'm ever going back to those thick, heavy-waisted, scratchy, awful things.

Men's briefs feel like you're being lifted and pulled on all day. Cotton stretch panties feel like your genitals are being embraced by a soft cloud of comfort. Ahhh... ^_^

I decided to try them back then, just to see what they felt like, even though I was still 100% male physically, and as soon as I did, I was like "Oh my God, what have I been missing my whole life?" and haven't worn those old damned things a day since then.

(And for those who are wearing them for work... why? Seriously, nobody cares. When the hell does anyone see your underwear while you're at work? You'll be shocked at how much you can get away with without a single person even noticing.)

How about us pre-op orphans.  I have to wait until Jan 2015 :(

Actually I burned with ceremony, my guy undies and t-shirts to the tune "Walk like a man" months ago.  ;)

so sorry I missed that :D

Has any man worn "briefs" since, like, 1990?  Maybe my grandfather.  Not even sure my dad is that uncool.  Boxers are the standard today, aren't they?

I did in 2003 because I couldn'thave anything touchingmy genitals as I had a bad, horrible, painful, itchy yeast infection. But, now, no. Not so much out of hatred for men's clothes, but out of neccessity since I wear mainly skinny jeans and even my other women's jeans are tight, so it dictates that I wear panties. They are all plain thought, my most femme pair being a pair of purple Hanes Her Way. I have some spanx to for those super tight jeans. It's like there's nothing there...ugh

I had to google up "briefs", lol. So we are talking about men underwear then? :) Yep, sign me in too :D.

Bikini or hipster panties. Victoria's Secret is beyond amazingly comfortable and well worth the price.

Right on, Carrie.  I have worn red female panties for about 6 or 7 months now.  Haven't worn any male underwear since last year.

To everyone here who wants to wear beautiful female panties --- but maybe don't wear them all the time, at work, or whatever -- or if you haven't "come out" all the way yet, like me --

Hey, Carrie is totally correct.  Who is going to see your female panties, anyway, while you work as a male?  No one.  So indulge in your femininity, even if you still partly in the closet, like me....

And if you like polished toenails, why not keep your toenails polished full-time, like I do?  Unless you take your shoes and socks off at work, who is going to see them at work as a male, anyway?  No one!

So GO FOR IT, GIRL!

;)

Johanna.

I have thrown all of my male underwear out even though parents have a tizzy fit.
when they   do my wash occasionally they trying by underwear that they think I should try even though I've been wearing female underwear sense high school before that I tried other types of male underwear
I really do not understand what the whole issue is with telling other people what they should wear and do etc.
There are many different bills and variations within male and female body's people need to mind their own business

I'm not really allowed to wear anything fem while I'm at home (don't even start with me!), but I wear hipsters, or girls briefs while out on my trips/at work, and only on my last day going home, do I wear a pair of male briefs, in case the wife or kids sees me changing clothes when I get home.  I switched all my guys tees for Lady Hanes crew or v neck tees.. They feel sooo much better, both fabric and fit.. The waist is tapered and fits me better than the straight tent cut of guys Hanes tees.  I was really shocked at the price difference tho... $4/ea at Walmart, compared to the .89 for a pack of 10 guys tees.  ;)

Ok, I'm kidding abt that... Seriously.. It's $10 for a 5-6 pack of guys tees, compared to $4/ea girls tees, and those are sale prices!!  Normally they are $5/ea!!!  Now I have to figure that into the transition costs!!  Ugh!!  Panties tho.. $6/for 5pack... That..I can deal with.

But the colors... OMG, tHe CoLoRs!!!   Seriously... I got one of every color tee WM carries in Lady Hanes... Faded Glory is as pretty but I only found Vneck.. No crews.. eh... But still, the colors, on E are so incredible.. This.  If I get sh1t  from the family for picking colors, TFB!  Medium size tho.. really hugs the twins, and will out me in a heartbeat with them.. So, no bare tees at home, I gotta wear a button down shirt over it..

Damn, didn't want to hijack this from briefs to tees, sorry, sis..  I still have a drawer of briefs, all black drk blue, grey.. to blend in with my uniform pants (white def shows thru).. I guess until I get some type of bottom surgery (if at all) briefs, at least for two days (1st day of work, last day coming home) I can put up with..

It was always boxer briefs for me: shaped like a boxer, fits like a brief.

I always hated that 'swinging free' sensation.  The last time I wore them was in June for a medical checkup (not full time or out at work), and it was an oddly constricted feeling and I just couldn't wait to get out of them.

I, too, hope to have some kind of burning ceremony one say when I go full time :D

Hi Paula, Thanks for sharing about your undies...I feel bad for you not being able to be your true self at home...

Does your family allow you to have HRT at least?

I used to live in Arizona, years ago.

Hugs,
Johanna.
I am female.

Ok, here's what I don't get.  I've tried women's undies (I'm pre-op), and they are somewhat uncomfortable.  They're not made to accommodate the equipment I have, and it ends up with bits and pieces hanging out where they shouldn't, etc.  During the workday, the last thing I need to be thinking of is how I've got one ball that isn't, er, playing ball.  Boxers it is, end of story.  Down there, I'm still a guy, whether I like it or not.

That said, I do regularly wear tanks under my shirt rather than guys' plain white tees.  That's practical.  Lots of room, upper bodies are not as different as below the waistline stuff, and it makes sense.

What am I missing?  To me, the fact that they are so uncomfortable and noticeable only highlights the fact that something's wrong with my body.  Panties don't make me feel feminine, but rather they highlight the fact that I'm clearly masculine.

Oh my gosh! it's been sooooo many years I forgot what men's underwear look like. For me it's bikini panties all the way -as it has been for many many years even before going full time. I love my pretty pink laced ones -so comfy. I just don't have much to hide, never did.

I know what you mean I think, especially about the ones that come in sets with bras in the fabric that doesn't stretch at all. Things do tend to spill out a bit.
Other fabrics have a little give, keep the bits I don't want in check, and help to calm some of the dysphoria down.

We all suffer the GD differently and deal with it in our own ways I think :)

Hi Johanna!   No, they don't... but I'm taking it anyway... Low dose.. Once a day instead of twice, so my changes will take longer, less noticeable, but still change..   girls briefs or hipsters, they pack the dangling participles..  tighter..  Spiro shrinking things down, so the panties are better for me.

It's monsoon here in AZ.. Couple biiiiiig cells rolling thru right now.  Heavy, beautiful rain!!

On a really good note..  I came out to 16 of my girl friends on FB, and every one of them (now) have accepted who,and what I am.. They had known me as Anne for several years, so even tho.. I'm.. Look like I do right now, they only knew me as female, and that's how they accept me now.  My life, has been immensely better this past week because of them.  Even met one for brkfast the other day.  It was wonderful.  I love them all, doubly more now.  Most exciting thing is... Most of them are either bi,  or..  ;)
(oops, did I type that out loud)
