So, the past few weeks, I've been on a little bit of a spree of coming out to people. I'm up to 11 people (including myself) who know both my male-self and my female-self (I'm identifying bi-gender, so things get complicated like that). That's 4 new folk! One of them was even in-person, rather than Facebook chat (oh lawd is that terrifying).

Everyone's been particularly wonderful about it (I have good taste in friends). The worst I've gotten was "a bit weird, but sounds good", and the best... well, one who was actually excited for me discovering stuff about myself.

Just thought I'd share my good news and excitement with you all.

Always pays to have good friends.

I remember coming out to my friend during my first attempt at transition, there was no Facebook or internet even. Each outing was more or less an in-person experience. Didn't get any easier!

I guess I'm the odd one. I've never been very uncomfortable with that talk except for my wife and my sister.

Haven't told my sister, yet.
April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

Being transgender is just a phase. It hardly ever starts before conception and always ends promptly at death.

They say the light at the end of the tunnel is an oncoming train. I say, climb aboard!

great! hope things continue to go well. never know when someone who was initially supportive turns around when you actually start dressing at whatnot :/ sorry don't mean to get you paranoid! i'm sure most of your friends are sincere!

You have good taste in friends.  Congratulations.  I am out to about fifteen people and only two of them have seen me dressed.  The reception was a bit mixed with many really supportive and a few sort of went um...  The ones that already know other trans* folk were most receptive.  As you come out to more people do not let it put you off if some are not as supportive.

Transition is hard.  It is wonderful that you knew people well enough to know which ones you could come out to first.  A support network really does make things a lot better.
