Is a woman forced to walk behind a man ,a sexist or being protected behavior

In the old days when a tribe moved from one point to another, women were placed in the center for protection from wild animals

Depending on the mind of men in present day society
1. Is he protecting her from the elements
2. Is being dominate over her

What's your view on this?

Every time I need protection from wild animals, zombies or werewolves I make sure I have a few men ready to throw at them while I run away

Imposing a different behaviour for women in any matter is sexist.

Except in minefields.

In fact every woman should have several men in her handbag to cast forth when a minefield is approached - and men wonder why womens handbags are so packed!!

Sadly with some of the news reports that have occurred to young women late at night I would like to think it is the first. If he is six foot two, with eyes of blue. I would pay some pride and sexism for the security of getting home at night

If I was straight, I would also add it's fine if the guy has a cute butt.

I get that some girls get that.  Personally I just need them for minefields and to keep my straight friends happy

Neither am I

But as someone who has been attacked more then a few times night coming home from work when I was younger (always in guy mode), I would gladly swallow my pride for security. I am becoming a lot more practical about my safety and am always willing to use every advantage at my disposal.

As long as my friends know I just need a safe escort it is a lot easier to maintain then a large dog in a small unit

I would rather walk hand and hand with my guy. Or with his arm around me. If a zombie apocalypse happens or there are werewolves pout and about, I'll sacrifice him in a minute. Somehow, I just don't see that happening so I go with my first answers.

But seriously, I don't think it sounds right for anyone to make anyone else walk behind them.? How would you talk about stuff unless you're side by side, not to mention holding hands etc.. ?
