This is the biggest mistake I did in the beginning thinking bigger the boobs, the more people would think I am a woman but it came out completely reverse.

Right now I'm fairly passable but guys are clocking me now more on my boobs. Passability is more in the face, LITTLE/light make up and mannerism. I've put 400cc. I also thought in the beginning as soon as I'll have boobs and show it off people big explicit cleavage they would automatically believe I am a woman but people are not stupid, they clocked me even more. The more you show, the more you look vulgar and un-elegant. This is the mistake many trans tend to do.

Ask your surgeons to make it reasonable, the smaller it'll be, the 'safer' zone you'll be. Now I wanna reduce but I can't as I don't want to undergo the hassle again, I just tend to hide my boobs or show very little.

I am sorry for what you went through. I think the mistake is that enormous gigantic too roundy perfect boobs look artificial and people will definitely guess you had a breast agumentation, even if it's not true. As soon something looks artificial in your presentation, people start looking for other cues and pick your flaws discerningly, and if it looks artificial they'll keep eyeing it till they figure out, and it's why they clocked you.

My understanding is that you'll have to have them replaced every 8 years or sooner. Your advice is good regardless of "clocking" bigger is not always better.

Along with my GRS, I have just done BA surgery and was always aiming for something on the smaller side ie. a full B cup corresponding more or less to  250 cc implants.

Interestingly, during my pre-op appointment, the surgeon persuaded me to go for a larger size, 350cc, arguing that the final volume in situ would be reduced by a good third. I have a friend who was sold a similar story by another surgeon who told her that he had never seen anyone come back for a smaller size but in many cases had seen patients come back for larger.

In my own case, after I got back to my hotel, I thought about it a bit and finally decided to go back to my original option which translated into 260cc implants on the day, all the more so as at my age, 57, large perfectly rounded breasts would just look totally abnormal.

After less than a week, I know what I have is far from settled but I will personally be very happy to see the final volume a good third smaller  than what I presently see.  So yes, you can add me to the list of those who believe many trans women seem to overdo it a bit on the boobs... aided and abetted by the surgeons!
Hugs from Bangkok where it is very, very thundery with torrential rain most of the afternoon and evening.

Poor girl, such a shame to have to hide your nice breasts. No idea what to suggest but try & be proud of them & yourself regardless if a few people look at you & do not understand. Good luck GF.

I wholeheartedly concur with what Donna has said. My observations of other trans women over the years has been that their pre-transition mentality has been programmed to regard breasts much more highly than they ought, and having formerly been highly visual in that regard they often feel that a set of big boobies will somehow translate into real womanhood only to discover that it often times has the reverse effect. Granted that some women both cis and trans prefer to be seen as the sum total of their breasts, they do tend to drew much undue attention to themselves which flies in the face of the title of this thread and the desire to become stealth.

I have actually worried about this, back when my breasts had that totally firm, perky teenage look. Not much those of us can do who had the choice made by mother nature, though. ;) So I just have to hope that it is, as others have said, the "perfectly round and firm" implant look that outs them as potentially fake; presumably anyone who has the more natural-looking implants also won't have as many issues.

This is really interesting.  I suppose it's true that people don't pay attention to other people unless there's something to pay attention to.  And guys are definitely drawn to large breasts.

But like Jenna Marie said, it's the ultra round, perky, sticking-out-of-your-shirt kind that really attract attention.  And women with those tend to want to show them off...after all they paid a lot of money for them.  But for most of us, the goal is to blend in and feel right about ourselves.  So, stripper boobs aren't such a good idea.

It's all a balancing act in the end, if you really don't want anyone to clock you just dress down and become invisible, it's perfectly possible to become so unremarkable that people don't even bother to wonder which gender you are, why would they care?

On the other end of the spectrum it's also easy to be a little bit too provocative, in most female social circles this is highly frowned upon, girls don't like to hang out with girls that look like playboy bunnies, I could probably write 10 pages on the social dynamics behind this but I think most of us know this. Guys will stare and girls will judge.

It's interesting that most girls that naturally have large breasts cover them up almost all the time, for them it's more of a burden so I think when a well endowed girl wears revealing clothes in daily life she gets scrutinized and judged, in a club or party I think the dynamics are a bit different though.

Anyway, just my random thoughts and ramblings.

I'm stealth but honey, I have an amazing rack after years of HRT.  ;D I never dreamt of having such perky boobs and a great figure before HRT. I'm going full time by next spring, so I only have to torment myself with binding and wearing overly baggy shirts for a month longer.

I used to be married to a woman that was pretty well endowed and her attitude about them was exactly what you said - she minimized them as much as possible, for the same reason you said - it was a burden getting incessant attention because of them. She hated having them, and she hated the attention that they brought. Her attitude about them was puzzling to me when I was still imitating a guy (bigger is better, right?) but now that i've switched genders and have my own her attitude makes perfect sense to me now.

The absolute LAST thing I want is a huge bust line. Even my little ones get unwelcome attention every once in a while and that makes me feel uncomfortable.

Yes, sometimes less is more.

I so don't want unwanted attention, and I'm several years away from deciding whether I will be needing a BA just in case they decide to fill out naturally.

One thing's for sure, I don't need "porn star" ta-tas.

of the many things one should keep in mind for stealth, this is a pretty big one. natural development is what i'd think to be the best, and then just a tiny tiny bit of augmentation if you're not at the average size. however, bigger than a B is generally a giveaway.  the other things is that over-dressing (as much as some of us may want to go all out on the fem stuff to make up for lost time) will contribute a lot to clocking.  voice and face are very easy to give away yourself if you are trying to go stealth if you go overboard with makeup, use makeup that doesn't quite complement your facial features, and trying to use a voice pitch too close to the upper edge of your vocal range. i made this mistake. i hated how i sound. i speak in a lower pitch now, but use more of the timbre, inflection, and intonation, which are more important to a voice anyways. i really couldn't talk "like a guy" even if i tried anymore. I just sound like a girl trying to make a guy's voice due to the inducted habits of my vocal inflection. this is a pretty crucial point to focus on in addition to not going overboard with appearance if you're looking to go stealth.

Personally i've opted to wait 5-8 years to see where my breasts go before deciding if i need augmentation or not. and even if i turn out flat, there's always people who are big fans of the catchphrase: "Flat is Justice!"

Sorry to step in here, but I want to say that transmen often go for larger-than-necessary prosthetic penises and ultra-masculine names. We probably don't get clocked as much for it, but it's hard not to choose to be well-endowed when it's actually a choice.

I don't know if natural boobies count too, since i have big boobies (32C towarding a D cup) and i also wear push-up bras to make them look bigger and  to show better cleavage. I am 3 months full time now and no one really knows of my past(also not at my workplace), but even when i get their attention(What I Do LOL), i don't think they clock me(They rather think i am a slut, but i don't fukkin' care ;)). What i did notice though is that i get ->-bleeped-<- from so many girls for that, but on the other hand boys do love me because of my ta-tas:)))

But i think that is certainly possible to get clocked, since you seek too much attention they will look closely at you. And if you show many other masculone ''flaws'', Like deep voice, really broad shoulders, tall, big hands, feet and all that stuff, you will get ''clocked''.

Wise words and one reason why I opted for 250 or 275 or something around there, I forget it's so long ago now. I had some uneven breast development I wanted them just a tiny bit bigger but balanced. I also wanted a very specific type of implant and did my homework and found out that, at that time, the only doctor who did them was Suporn, so I was off on a flight to Thailand. I am quite happy, because I have a good full c cup now. Not too big, but not fried eggs either :)

(Beren : yeah, I wasn't sure about natural breasts counting either, but I was *glad* when mine [all natural] got a bit of softening and sag, so at least they look "real." 42DDD, and most of the time I do dress to minimize that; not sure I can say I wish I was smaller, as it's nice to have the option of showing 'em off when I need to, but I usually don't.)

A discreet hint of cleavage can also go a long way towards establishing that someone really has breasts, without flashing so much that people become entranced by them and pay too much attention to you.

LOL. The problems of a busty woman :D. Don't be ashamed of them, show them off ;)
But i agree with you. A hint of cleavage is sometimes more than enough. But since im only 3 months full-time i want to take advantage of them to attract guys:D.
BTW it looks like you are the proof, that too high amounts of estrogens aren't needed for getting good evelopment breastwise, bodywise, etc... 42DDD?? >:-). I was also on patches and got great results on them, even when they don't give you too ''high doses'' of estrogen.

Jenna Marie

Beren : Yeah, I'm on patches as well and a very very low dose, within the range of what they give a cis menopausal woman. I totally agree, of course, that raising the dose doesn't help once your body has hit the maximum it can use. :)

I showed them off at first... got tired of dealing with men, to be honest! But then, I'm mostly into women anyway. Now I only wear low-cut dresses for parties now and then. (Although, to be fair, now that they're not sticking straight out it's a lot easier to be discreet anyway. I can wear a slightly low-cut blouse and still look decent if I skip the push-up bra. Which is pretty much what this thread about!)

I was on patches and a relatively low dose for more than 5 years and I'm pretty sure they had stopped growing. I recently changed to an implant, which upped the dosage significantly, and they haven't stopped hurting (and growing) since. I'm so happy!
