DISCLAIMER: that's actually not me, she's actress Keeley Hawes.  However, I've been told I look very passable and I tend to wear "natural" makeup - it's always subtle and I often get told I look good.
I have seen her real photo and she makes the actress in her avatar look ugly!!  :)

I really don't hate anything about being a woman. I love putting on makeup and don't mind washing it off. Good makeup remover is a must tho. However, I do have a few pet peeves, and they are:

1. Guys that won't take "no" for an answer.
2. Eyeliner bugar's (the way eyeliner gravitates to the inside corner of your eye after a long day).
3. Society's Female Stereotypes.

Just minor annoyances and the good, the happiness of just being me far outweighs these few minor obstacles I've mentioned.

Best Wishes!

Just today, my sister said "why are women so mean?" because she believes women go around sleeping with other's men, and that at least guys have a "bro code". This. I hate it soooo much. I was actually offended. Stereotypes, stereotypes and they're really meaningless. And also anyone who says women are more evil than men should check homicide statistics. Male-on-male crimes win by large. I'm not saying men are necessarily more evil than women, but they sure are no better.

I've been looking at this thread and sure there a e a bunch of pains but there is absolutely nothing I hate or dislike. Sure shaving is a pain but look at the results you get and the feeling. WHat? tweny minute extra in the shower or bath for all day smooth skin? Hair, yeah it is a pain but My Gawd, is it not worth the hassle? Makeup? Yeah that too is a pain but when you can look in the mirror and ask, "Is that really me? I looked totally different twenty minute ago." to me it is worth it.

So in short, there is absolutely nothing I hate or don't like. It's all worth it. Other than I feel fat sometimes. I feel like my butt is too big sometimes and not big enough other times. That my hair looks really messed sometimes and my hair is really messed up, curly all the time, but feel really insecure about it. To top it off when I ask my boyfriend, he lies and tells me I look fine, pretty, not fat and beautiful even. Freakin' liar. >:( ;D

Look, I didn't start this thread for any other reason than a little fun.
Its not what I really hate or dislike, I wouldn't give anything in my female life up, but they're little pains, things that we can bitch & complain about.

Agree with you Nicole.   So here are a few things totally out of my control that we can bitch about  >:-):

Sidewalks and pavements:  are none of them designed for women's shoes????  One of the most beautiful roads in Lisbon, Avenida de Liberdade, has paving made from broken ceramic tiles.  Even men have trouble.  Try it after a bit of rain, aaaaargh!

(On that subject, don't you just hate it when you're walking along in your heels and you step along a paving stone join and one of your ankles twists and you look like a bad ->-bleeped-<-??  Sigh.  ;D )

Hotel bathroom mirrors and lighting:  look, I know that most men can get totally dressed in the dark, right down to selecting clothing from the wardrobe.  OK, they usually look terrible  (if it wasn't for their wives, poor things!).  But have you tried to do your makeup when you cannot get closer than 3 feet to the mirror, and even then, the bathroom lighting is worse than standing under a streetlight at midnight.  (It's a comparison, you'll never find me under a streetlight at midnight - I would be at home in my fluffy slippers drinking cocoa - yeah, it's true!)

Women's restrooms, where the lock has long since broken and there's nowhere to hang a jacket or handbag.  Now do this in winter, with a dress, long coat, handbag, and let's for comic effect say that it's one of those scuzzy places where the floor and seat are not to be touched under any circumstances!  :o   If you had 6 arms and hands you'd be fine...

So these are a few of my favourite things, tra la la la la....

Lol, definitely! :D Pavements in Lisbon are not at all thought for women, which is a total shame. Walking in heels is very very tricky in Lisbon roads.

Hmmm, since my only friend living in Melbourne is moving to Sydney, I won't even be able to do the "indignant world traveller" thing in your city...

Uh, yea, I forgot to mention sidewalks and pavement, and flooring surfaces not designed for our shoes. Especially when wearing a pair of stilettos. I once sank my heels in blacktop in a parking lot they had just paved two days prior on a hot day. I was talking with a friend and didn't notice my left heel had sank in a little, and almost fell flat on my face when I tried to walk forward. Luckily my friend being a guy on the muscular side caught me before I fell. Needless to say I don't stand still on pavement wearing stilettos anymore and I'm very careful on sidewalks, and lawns if I'm wearing them. I've almost fell too many times.

Though the pavement thing was prolly a fluke circumstance, That experience has left me with a lil phobia, lol!

You'll come to Melbourne, Sydney is just so over rated. If you love art, get to Melbourne, we have the best shopping in this part of the world as well.
But stay out of fed square. I know 3 people who have hurt themselves walking there.
They did it to stop people skating there.

Bumping this.

I'm in the middle of doing all my wine glasses getting ready for Election night drinks, music and BBQ (my friends and I have done it every election) and I'm having to spend 5 minutes on each glass because of lipstick.
My dishwasher, as great as it is for some reason misses the lipstick & gloss, so the glasses have to go through twice, then get done by hand.

Ahh the election night party - I do this as well, but obviously not today for SA.

But it reminds me of when my BF made a comment complaining that when a group of us gets together, the girls call each other to organise what food etc to bring for snacks. We are not spontaneous, was the complaint!

Yes sweetheart and the guys turn up and eat those snacks and drink the wine we organised each other to bring  ::)

Oh an additional one - same vein!

Going camping with friends and none of the guys organising it the thought that maybe girls don't do too well having a wee behind a tree.

I can't even remember sending the texts, but people are getting here in the next few minutes and the counting is underway, really disappointing election from both major parties.

also, Aussies will get this, the Sex Party would be a force if they changed their name.

Having to my makeup EVERY time before I go out xD It was fun at first but it's such a process. I'm not one of those "just a little bit of powder & mascara" kinds of girls. I wish I could be though because a full face of makeup just to go out sucks ass hole. Hmmm... That.. &... that's it lol I think I'm content with every other aspect of being the girl I am. :]

Having a fingernail break right when I manage to get it decently long. Even worse, having said broken finger nail snag and catch my socks or tights and leave a run or pull.
