I know this is probably ill advised but I've been holding my Adam's Apple up in my chin with my fingers to sound like a girl. It does sound female but I'm still vibrating in my throat. I would like that to go up on my face too. I'm wondering is there anyway to get my muscles to constrict around my Adam's Apple in my up location? I would force my Adam's Apple up my throat at my highest possible position and I'd like it to stay there.
They say identity theft is a crime. Well, needless to say, a crime has been committed. My identity has been stolen. No, no one knows my social security number or has my credit card. I'm walking around in the wrong body. I'm wearing a costume which I cannot remove... and the only way I can remove that costume, is through surgery

I think that's probably physically impossible. You have to be careful you don't damage your vocal chords.

I've seen a video with a girl in it who took the same approach. But -forcing- it is very ill-advised, yeah. You can cause some serious damage that way (as with trying to do any voice training too fast).

It's all about muscle memory. If that's how you're going to try to do it, you have to teach your muscles to work in that position... and it takes a lot of time. Little by little, like even just five minutes of practice a day (again, too much causes damage), and you will eventually get to where you want to be with your voice. Eventually it becomes like second nature, and you have to think about it to return to your original voice. Eventually.

Give yourself time. It's not going to happen overnight, no matter what technique you use.

I started a thread about this once and it didn't get much traffic. So I'm reposting what I stated in it here, hope it helps.

Idk if this would work for older transitioners but long ago I saw a video of a young trans gal who managed to hide her adam's apple by basically tensing up the lower half of the jaw/throat and it would raise it to the point where it would look hidden. This also helps with maintaining a feminine pitch when speaking.

Anyways I did this prehrt a lot but it was difficult to hold for long periods of time but as I kept practicing it became easier and easier. After I started hrt and with my constant voice practice, the adam's apple looks like it shrunk. I can now relax it and it doesn't protrude at all and I can still speak in a male voice if I wanted to, which is like never

Also another tip is when you're practicing your voice, try to emulate like you're about to gargle. The way you tighten your voice box when you do that helps to keep the pitch in the right range and it doesn't sound like that super high falsetto mickey mouse voice. You should be able to stay relaxed.

This. Seriously - dont tens up too much or force anything. If you do, all it does is to sound fake and tensed and in the end you get voice problems from that. My voice therapist puts the most emphasis on me being really relaxed - not doing anything that feels like a strain.

If you consider surgery, I know some, like Dr Thomals, can "fix" the larynx in a higher position, this apparently helps with resonance but it would scare me ;)

Oh and if you overdo it, I noticed, it leads to more food getting into your larynx - so I think it is better to let it move ;)
