This may be a newbie question, but
What are my breasts supposed to feel like?

As a male I had very firm pecs from years of working out.

Will all my pec muscle soften?

How can I keep my breasts some what firm yet soft?

I have some growth with some soft tissue but being male all my life, I have no idea what a breast should be like on my own person?

Very curious...

I have my breast buds, with the soreness, so what can I expect?  I just don't know what a breast should be like?

Hi Ginger,

It depends on genetics, age and medications so your growth will vary. In general there is no rule. My experience so far is beautiful small well proportioned breasts. I am 16 months in and just switched to injections so I may see a difference (small) soon (months).

Breast growth can be like watching a pot boil. I am thankful for any growth.

If your T is low and E sufficient then the general guide is T like muscle and E like fat. Genetics, diet and exercise plays a huge role too.

I am looking for more info on feel, texture, fat distribution.

More of the inner workings of the breasts?

I don't mind what size and growth term per say, more of the feel and texture and so on.

I just don't know how to explain myself...

Your breasts develop in the same way as any womans, so they will feel like just like any other womans. The thing is, there is quite a bit of variety and there's really no one answer to what you seem to be asking. You should be able to tell the difference between muscle and breast by touch, muscle tends to be noticeably harder.

As for the inner workings? You'll development milk ducts and related tissues. You will also accumulate fat in the area.

Ginger, I think that once you get your breasts you will be pleasantly pleased. I know that I was. They are different from a man's hard chest. I find them pleasant to squeeze, but to each their own, I suppose. I hear that lactation is possible, too, once the milk ducts develop. It is a constant chore, though, in that department. I just don't have the time or be able to do it on the job, so I have not followed up on it. I am just happy that the breasts are there. Also happy that I have reached a small C cup. Much joy there! I'm personally curious about it, myself, because even though I'm super thin, weighing 135 lbs (or 9 and a 1/2 stone), I have some gynecomastia which I can only attribute to potentially being XXY. I really hope that the HRT will work with that and make me at least a B.

I hope we all get what we want. I would also like a B with some much larger nipples Areolas...

As some have said: age, genetics, level of hrt meds, etc., etc., etc. breast growth varies with everyone.Some women never make it past a good A cup, some get to DDD's. I'm 9 months in and I have B cups(I wear a 32B bra) complete with some lactation, which, going by what my biological mom had I'm surprised I've done so well for she was only a 34B. So as a rule your individual growth will vary. In some circles it is said you can get an idea of where you'll be by comparing yourself to your Mom, or a Sister, or Aunt on your fathers side I've heard them all. IMHO none of these comparisons are accurate, and I'm living proof the one about your Mom's cup size isn't an indicator, because I'm already bigger than my Mom was, and mine are still growing.

So about the only thing I can say is breast growth takes time, and I wish you my very best.

In my post I am using myself as an example., I'm already at 9 months hrt as big as my biological Mom was, a B cup, and I have 15 more months of growing to endure. I am intersex with some weird genetics tho, which I suspect might have something to do with my good results so far, and I suspect I'll prolly be bigger than my Mom was at the end of the 2 year mark. The only difference between myself and her is she wore a 34B, and I wear a 32B. This is why I'm saying that though I've heard a lot of description of what you can possibly go by to predict your breast growth, none are reliable. You will get growth based upon your individual genetics, age, and hrt dosage, and everyone is different. IMHO, there really is no reliable way to predict anyone's breast growth

So it is quite possible you will reach her size or like me even be bigger at the end of two years on hrt.

Mine are maybe a b cup but no real mass yet, I'm dissapointed so far. My mother was well endowed along with all my female gender relatives.  I was & guess still am I guess excited to grow some nice natural breasts.

Allyda : A 34B has the same cup volume as 32C, but yeah, you'll probably get there. Also, breast growth can take 5-10 years for cis girls, so I'm inclined to think it won't be different for us.

Although I actually completely agree that looking to your mom or sister can give hints but isn't guaranteed; genetics are weird, and there can be throwbacks. My mother is 36B and I'm 42DDD, but my grandmother was curvy (and my sister takes after her at 36DD too). Personally, I think we get more or less what we would have at puberty, though on a bigger-boned frame that may look a bit smaller proportionally.

My problem is NOT knowing what my breast should look like. I look at pics of gorgeous women and my breasts do not look
anything like them.

Will I get the same Tanner Stage perkiness?

I think I am coming into Tanner stage 2. Breast buds are forming. I can feel the lumps.

Look at this way - you're at a few months development, those women you're referring are probably, at the very least, at six years development. So it may take a liiiiittle bit longer. Patience is a virtue!!

I think part of my problem is that since all my life I had rather large muscular pecks from working out, my breasts don't look any different.
It's just hard to see the changes. My pecks were rather big, firm and muscular and now the only real difference is that they are bit more
fleshy and soft. Apart from feeling the breast buds now I hope one day to look at them differently.

I just don't really know what to think as I don't have any other transgender women in my life to give me some relevance.

Does this make any sense?
