Things have been crazy (in a good way for work) the last few days. One of our biggest clients moved his entire office/warehouse and I did all the IT stuff for him. (Moving servers, etc.) He also went with a new hosted telephone system and that was an interesting experience. After an 18 hour day yesterday and a 12 hour day today. It was a long 2 days, but very profitable. I've known the owner for 10 or so years and have done work for him off and on over the years. He and all of his employees (he has about 30 office people, 1/2 knew me before I transitioned) see me as a cis-woman now and always gender me properly since I've been full time in March. Even yesterday, working hard and with my hair in a ponytail, dressed more for dirty work than office feminine, even the movers who had never met me before addressed me as ma'am. It was a wonderful feeling for sure.
Tonight the owner tells me, "Sydney, thank you so much for your hard work. I don't know what I would have done it you hadn't been here to get us through this move." I had help coordinate everything dealing with technology, internet and advised on the VoIP phones. I also heard through the grapevine how I was praised by him and other people. It was one of those things that on the way home tonight, brought tears of joy. To be so accepted and appreciated as me kind of overwhelmed me in a good way. Today was one of those remarkable days for me
