Hey y'all!

Been starting to research FFS Surgeons and making my own shortlist. The three I've been considered are Dr. Spiegel, Dr. Zukowski or Dr. Cardenas. The last two seem to have a lot of photos in my age range (20s), but I've only seen about 2 photos in the 20-30 year range from Dr. Spiegel.

Just wondering if anyone here has had experience with Dr. Spiegel?

The general reviews of him seem super good and that he goes for a very natural look which is a plus. I really worry about keeping a natural look so that's why I gravitated towards Dr. Spiegel. I'm kind of shying away from Cardenas since a lot of his work seems overdone - like you can tell plastic surgery was done.

Beepboopbeep, I went to Dr. Spiegel for FFS in March!

There's some other stuff at http://imgur.com/a/DzirJ.

He made me look so much like my mom, I couldn't believe it!  I've still got some time for hormones to take effect on my body and face, but the bone structure is so... smooth and normal looking and much more like the women I grew up with in my family!

Welp! You got me convinced. Seems like you got the full package? How much did that wind up costing?

I ended up getting every procedure he recommended:

  • Rhinoplasty
  • Forehead recontouring
  • Cheek implants
  • Hairline advancement
  • Chin/jaw feminization
  • Adam's apple reduction

All in all, it cost a bit over $40,000.  It was so so so so worth it!  Dr. Spiegel is the best, I'm so glad I saw him!

Omg so expensive but I can see totally worth it. I might go to him to get my brow and nose redone, it shouldn't cost nearly as much since that's all I want done.

I went for surgery with him. I had forhead recontouring, hairline lowering, rhinoplasty, chin and jaw work. I can't remember the price, I believe it was over 25k maybe 30k
I cannot breath out of one nostril and my nose is somewhat crooked.
There is a scar still at my hairline
Inside of my mouth where he made an incision for my jaw there is a hole and when I eat sweet foods it hurts my tooth.
On my forehead there are little round bumps. Four of them, looks like he didn't do a good job with the contouring...

I have not gone to see him about any of this hopefully I will sometime early next year and hopefully hell take care of these things

Just warning you that no Dr. is perfect

Hi There "B",
I am considering Spiegel as well and have heard good things particularly if open forehead procedures are needed. However, as I get close to commit to a Doc, Meltzer keeps coming up as another top consideration with good follow-up policies in his care and very supportive bedside manner. I may just get the $100 consult with both and choose from there.

I have to have a lot done so followup will be important.
Best,
Michaela

 You can go cheaper with Cardenas or Zukowski. Each of these three doctors has a general aesthetic they work towards. So determine which one you want. Personally I am not a fan of Spiegel... but that is me.

Pretty sure we had this exact conversation on ->-bleeped-<-! I know you're going Dr. Z  :P

Yeah I'm on the fence now between Zukowski and Spiegel.

Spiegel's work looks SOOO natural but sometimes I feel like its just so subtle for the big price tag he has.

Zukowski makes everyone look like a model. I'm not complaining, I just don't want to have that "plastic" look to my face. Some of his results look GORGEOUS but some look overdone.

OMG yes we did!!! :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

This makes us FFS sisters.

But in all seriousness I stand by my choice. I have observed some bit of plastic in his results that I'm not sure how it plays out in my mid-20s.  He goes for a really pretty aesthetic which a lot of people wouldn't call natural per se. But his bi-planar brow lift trumps a coronal brow lift.

I probably have more experience than most in regards to these surgeons.  I have met the surgeons face to face and seen plenty of their work on people face to face.

Dr. Spiegel;
He is known for a subtle approach. By that I mean no drastic changes. If your looking for a big change in your appearance he is not for you. His pricing is quite dear, it being US surgeon that is to be expected. I met a friend of mine that had her forehead done by him and she complained that it was uneven. I thought she over acting a bit though because it looked actually quite good. If you have already feminine features he can perfect them.

Dr. Z;
He likes to do some drastic work and the two girls I know that went to him obviously look like they had work done. He likes to shave off the brow bossing, not reset. Saw a girl that went to him and he shaved the bossing so thin that she got an infection. I consider that a bit doggy, I my opinion. But I have heard of girls that are very pleased with his work. He has his Dr. Z girls.

Dr. DiMaggio;
I consider him the best with foreheads. If you have a type III forehead he's the fella to sort it. I am a bit bios because I went to him.  He gave me the perfect forehead. Another friend of mine went to him and did lovely work on her. He likes to do the whole package, forehead, nose and jaw.

Dr. Cardenas;
I have no experience with him/hers (husband and wife surgical team I think) work but have heard only good things of them so far.

Dr. Chettawut & Dr. Suporn  they specialize in SRS though they both do FFS. For SRS go to Thailand they have perfected it and are always in competition with each other for the latest and greatest method.

Take my advise and go to a surgeon that specializes in FFS. I have noticed a lot of Americans have a fear of going outside the US for surgery. This may be shock to some of you but the US Isn't the only technically advanced and peaceful society on the planet. Don't let geography determine your surgeon. Select the best surgeon for your specific needs.

I had work done with Dr Spiegel.

I had him do mandible contouring and a trachea shave for me.  He recommended slight brow bossing--which I hadn't thought of for myself--but I decided to skip it to save cost.  The final price tag was around $14,000.

When it came down to it I liked Dr Spiegel's work most.  Despite the temptation of saving huge amounts of money, traveling to another country to see a doctor that would do my face, breasts, body, everything, all in one go, was much less appealing than having my face done by someone who *only* does faces.  Maybe that's not such a big deal to others.
