Thanks for the positive vibes, guys. It means a lot

I'm still at the hospital, but I'm allowed to go home today. They kept the wounds opened and are still flushing out the infection twice a day, but it is getting better every day. The flushing still has to be done for a week or so, but the hospital provided me with some home care who will visit me twice a day to clean the wounds.
The status of my nipples is unsure. They are still black, but we don't know what's underneath the scab. If there's alive tissue there, the nipples may survive. The waiting game begins.
As awful and painful this experience was, I am glad it happened. I was lucky enough to end up in a room with three amazing transwomen. We talked and shared experiences and generally had a good time. Without these complications, I would have never met them. If my chest turns out alright, it was all worth it in the end.
