I wish I could remember who mentioned Payless Shoes to give credit where credit is due.  After they mentioned the site, I went there and ordered these.  I was so amazed that they fit almost perfectly on arrival!

Unfortunately I was unable to capture it in the pic, but those little dots are shiny little jewels that have just the right amount of sparkle in the light.

One thing for sure - I'll need to relearn walking in heels.  I did ok tonight around the house but I was tentative at best.

2 things:

1. Those shoes look really nice! Also, don't feel bad about not being able to walk in them perfectly yet, I for one can't do any justice in heels. They just don't suit me I guess.
2. You took that photo?? It looks very professional!

Enjoy your shoes! :)
"Whoops, there it goes... Yep. My brain stopped."

You're very kind, thank you.  I love photography and have sprinkled this forum with a few fun pics over the past few months.

And I am looking forward to going to my first party in my new shoes!

Dani, do not worry ;D ... learn to ride a jump is something that comes slowly for us ... it's like it was a natural talent,  ;) rs ...

Ahhh... and when you go to your first party wearing high heels  :-* ... wow ... is something so wonderful that you will not forget anymore  ;D ....

Lovely shoes, Dani!  What size?

It must have been the week for Heel 101.  I was practicing as well although my my shoes have a broader and slightly lower heel.  No broken bones or turned ankles...yet.  I just feel extremely awkward like a toddler trying out those first steps.  Hopefully with practice I will get beyond the diaper stage.

Sttefanne I can hardly wait!  I used to go to the big parties down town in full Dani dress several years ago.  It was so much fun.  I am so looking forward to doing that again in my new shoes and new styles.

Hi Katy!  These are 12W (10-1/2 mens).  And they fit so much better than I expected.  It was a most pleasant surprise!  I know what you mean about relearning the heel maneuver.  In my case, I am going to have to  practice a bit before I go out and about.  But practicing is SO fun.   ;)

Jessica, it must have been you that mentioned the Payless site.  Thanks!!  Yes, I am looking forward to getting in the groove here.  I am fully expecting to be hitting a couple of Halloween parties at the local clubs this year and my new shoes will be cooperating just fine...(I hope!)

Cute shoes!!

Took me a little time to get use to heels but practice, practice, practice. And keep a pair of fold up flats in your purse to walk home in!

As a 6'3" gal I don't wear high heels all that much, but even basic shoes frequently have a narrower heel than is common in men's shoes and that takes a whole lot of getting used to. I'm file on level surfaces but anything else is a real test of my balancing skills. I don't know how I'd manage walking on anything other than level floors and pavement in stilettos!

I have flats!  But they won't fit in my clutch... :)

Here's a pic I took tonight, wearing the new heels with hose on.  They feel absolutely wonderful and walking around in them tonight has gone much better than I expected.  I ordered a couple of new outfits from Kohl's a few days ago.  I'm looking forward to hitting a few events in the coming weeks!
