Hey there,

So being particularly busy and being a klutz, I did not take the 90 day mark appointment with the doctor to get prescribed a higher estrogen dosage and progesterone for the first time (did this change anything to you?). I will take the appointment this monday meaning it will be ready for day 105 or so.

What to do during those 15 days regarding HRT? Buy another batch of the same meds for 15 days and continue the hormones regular course? Take less meds in the meantime? I am a bit lost and it's all my fault :(. Thanks for the kind advice!

The only advice you should be taking is from your endo. Can't you ring and ask? If not I'd suggest staying on exactly the same dosage as has currently been prescribed for you.

That's a good point, thanks. Also, definitely can't ring and ask, the system is a bit (very) messed up in here.

Stick with your current dose.

But...

How on earth did you miss the appointment?  I literally count the days (and hours and minutes) until my next one - it's the highlight of my life.  I'm talking looking forward to it like a kid looking forward to Christmas Day.

Yes it did. I was on a low dose of HRT for many years to control dysphoria and it was only when I got bumped to a higher dose that things shifted into high gear.

I agree with what other people have said - I would just stay on the same dose until you get to see your endo.

Yeah, there shouldn't be a problem with asking for 15 days worth. I once got a prescription for Adderall XR, but for some reason the insurance company rejected it. It took about a week to figure everything out, but apparently my psychiatrist wrote the prescription for 31 days and the insurance company only allows that particular drug to be prescribed for 30 days at a time. The pharmacist just switched it to 30 days and everything went through fine.

You missed Endo day??? I am with Brenda on this one. It is like my Christmas Day!  ;)

When my dose got upped to the max and "P" was added it was a whole new ballgame girl! On low dose you THINK changes are happening. When it get's upped AND "P' is added you KNOW changes are happening. It is the difference between day and night for sure!  :)

It can be easy to do, though. Especially if you live out of town and/or you need to rely on other people to get you there.

Hi all,

Thanks for the advice. How did I miss it? I've been counting days too, I mean they are written on the med, (1, 2, 3, 4, ...., 78, 79). But somehow I spent a whole full week telling myself I'd call the hospital later today, then did not do anything about it and now today I will call (still 6AM here) but the appointment will probably be set in about a month which will leave me 2 weeks behind the schedule.

Thanks also for the 31 days anecdote, I've had similar stuff happen to me.
Also, I can't imagine what can be happening later on, with just 3 months of E, everyone close to me and me already see a different face, body silhouette (still male of course, though the changes have been not so subtle)  and I am already using a bra just because it is necessary to get through the day! So what can happen with more E and adding P? It kind of freaks me out in a good way but I do not know and I will try to keep my head blank and try not to expect anything until it actually happens.

EDIT: Actually, it's all good now :)! Surprisingly, they gave me an appointment for the day after tomorrow, as the Dr. had an appointment cancelled "recently" as the girl told me on the phone. Normally the wait time is 20-30 days. Now I just have to go finnish some blood and chest exams real quick so they are ready.

2nd EDIT: All exams are with no appointment and ready the same day, I feel so lucky am not even late now, am well prepared before hand  :D  ^-^
