Facial hair growth depends on two things. T levels and genetics. If your T levels have been in a male-typical range all this time, then quite possibly it's just not in your genes to grow facial hair. Many cis men cannot grow facial hair. Take note of your male family members, if possible, both mother's and father's side of the family to have a better idea of what to expect.

There is such a thing as a facial hair graft to make a beard where one isn't growing. It's expensive, but it can be done.

We're not allowed to discuss our exact dosages on Susan's. You can edit your post to remove the mention of your dose. If you don't know how to edit your post a moderator can do it.

The right dosage is not the same for every person. The clinic where I get my T prescription started me on what they called a "low" dose. It is lower than what they usually need to put their patients on, to achieve target T levels. But my T levels are in target range on that "low" dose.

T levels are determined with blood tests. At a doctor or clinic they're supposed to draw your blood to test your hormone levels, amongst other things (liver function, etc.) to see how well your body is processing the T. If the T level is too high it can be converted into estrogen, in that case they would know to lower your dose. If the T level is too low, you may not get the desired changes, so they would know to raise the dose.

Do you know how long it took your family members to grow their beards? It can take several years to come in. And, a doctor should check your T levels to make sure they are in the range men usually have. If it is too high or too low that could be slowing your changes.

T for 4 years? Would generally take 1-2 years for some facial hair growth for FTMs but if you don't have any at this point, you are VERY unlikely to get any.

Thank you my friend, I deleted it
I live a nightmare here

Mucho sympathy, man. Your doctor should be monitoring your testosterone levels at least yearly, if you've been on it that long.
The more I know, the more I know I don't know.

I've heard a few guys say it took longer than 2 years to get any appreciable beard going. And if his T levels are way off, that could delay things. The "dose" he mentioned was in liquid measure rather than milligrams, and depending on the mg per ml of the T he's getting, that complicates things more. If he isn't getting this stuff from a doctor there's no telling how much T he is actually getting. Unfortunately he may be getting ripped off by whoever is selling it to him.

HAMZA, sorry to hear that you cannot go to a doctor. Is there any way you could get to a safer country?
If nothing else, I can ask you some questions. Some of these will be personal questions. If you don't want to answer a question, you do not have to.

Not everyone experiences all changes, but after 4 years, unless your dose were too low or your body could not process T correctly, you should have some of these.

Has your voice changed?
Has your body changed where it stores fat? This one might be harder to tell if you don't have much body fat anyway. But, on T for 4 years, if your T levels are close to right, you should mostly be getting body fat on the abdomen rather than the hips.
Have you noticed being more muscular or stronger since starting T?
Do you experience more acne/skin blemishes/pimples since starting T?
Has your skin texture changed at all, become less "soft" or more "oily" feeling?
Have you had hair growth elsewhere, more body hair? Or coarser body hair? Thicker or coarser eyebrows?
Has the hair on your head changed at all? Hairline changed? Hair "thinned out" or some fallen out?
Have you experienced any genital changes or growth? The clitoris usually, but does not always, grow when a trans man takes T.
Do you still menstruate? After 4 years of adequate T levels menstruation should have stopped.

Not really true.  Puberty takes far longer than 1-2 years.  And even after puberty, your body and facial hair is still going to be changing through the rest of your life.

I meant SOME, not complete. After 2 years, you would at least get some long dark peach fuzz if the guys in your family have some facial hair.

In fact underwent surgery to remove the uterus before taking the T.

It sounds like you're getting enough T to produce masculinizing effects.
The changes you have experienced, to what degree? By that I mean, for example, did your voice drop into a male range or is it just a little different?

It's not really possible to tell from this if your T levels are exactly right, but if you've experienced a good amount of other changes, more likely the facial hair is just coming in very slowly, or maybe it won't come in. Sorry. Not all men (cis and trans) grow a beard.  I don't know how much of an option it would be for you, but there is such a thing as a facial hair transplant (it is like a hair transplant to treat scalp baldness, but done on the face instead to create a beard). It costs a lot of money, but if you are very bothered by the lack of facial hair, it's something to think about.

I have a good chin strap and a tiny dirtstache. Sometimes a moustache is just not meant to be (My cisgender brother has the exact same beard that I do. Genetics, genetics)!

How old are you, HAMZA? Some cis guys can't grow a beard until many, many years after puberty. I've got several friends with very little/no facial hair in their late 20s. And in some cases their brothers and fathers have plenty of beard. Everyone is different! So assuming you're getting the right amount of T, try not to worry too much, it'll come eventually. :)

My age 41
I feel embarrassed from this looking teenagers
People talking that low vitamin B one of the reasons is not necessarily the level of T.
I heard what he said, Mr. blink
I am a frustrating problem seems bigger than I thought  :'(

HAMZA, I'm 44. My moustache-less cis brother is 37.  I get that you're frustrated.  I take a 'hair, skin and nails' supplement (biotin rich) which certainly can't hurt.
When I was in high school there were Italian kids (like 15 years old) with beards. Our genetics are all different.  You'll be alright! :)
