Well. I finally get to go back on T. I went to an endocrinologist and she said there was nothing wrong with any of my blood work. That's great. There is just one moral issue I am having. When I signed up for my insurance three years ago, I had no idea that they put me in as biologically male. I know that now, but I never had any official, legal gender marker change except on my drivers license. Because my insurance thinks I was born male, they will cover both the endo and the T. Do I let them know and go back to the clinic with the less experienced doctors and pay out of pocket for the T? Or do I hold my tongue keep seeing the endo who knows what she is doing, and let my insurance pay for the T?

What would you guys do? My insurance has already paid for two visits, but I haven't picked up my prescription yet.

I would let it go unless you plan on a hysto. Hysto costs more than several years of T.

I have a guilty conscience. I'll call my insurance company on Monday and let them know whats going on. Maybe they will be willing to work with me. Or maybe I can get my doctor to write a letter.

does anyone have advice on this sort of thing? Should I also start seeing a therapist and ask for a letter from them? I really don't want to see another therapist, but I think having a real endocrinologist is important especially since my primary doctor thinks i should see an endocrinologist. Otherwise, I can still go to the place I've been going to for years.
