Decided (six months too late) to start tracking my figure measurements as I progress with HRT, and I ended up finding this body shape calculator:

http://www.calculator.net/body-type-calculator.html

With my ugly and mannish 39-33-38 body, it told me I had a "banana" (or straight) figure.  Ugh.  Do any of us have measurements that fit into the "hourglass" category, or is that pretty much a physical impossibility given the fact that testosterone has screwed our skeletons up already?

IMHO Not a very good test, I'm sure there are more than just 4 body types irrespective of race.

QuoteSorry your body is not in the 4 shapes we calculate.

Many women are not in the 4 shapes we calculate. The standard this calculator uses is mainly for western countries, or Caucasian women. It may not be the most suitable for other races.

I put in 37-28-37.
Nobody's perfect ...   I'll never try,
But I promise I'm worth it, if you just open up your eyes,
I don't need a second chance, I need a friend,
Someone who's gonna stand by me right there till the end,
If you want the best of my heart, you've just gotta see the good in me.

I got a pear shape :p I think an hourglass is able to be achieved but it would require corset training & vigorous exercise. Just be happy with what you were given n__n
P.s. My measurements are 35-29-39 . Also, I've corset trained in the past. Not sure if that helps..?

Leila did you break their calculator?

I am afraid if I entered my measurements it would redirect me to Sea World!  ;D ;D

I'm pre-everything but at the moment I'm a banana. How much growth is to be expected in the hips and shrinkage in the waist during HRT, bearing in mind I am a teen? I'm not far off a pear but if I can shrink my waist by a few inches I might be able to make an hourglass.

I started when I was 16 & I've had really good hip growth. From what I understand though, a lot of girls don't really get hip growth. Bear in mind, I'm also latina & my sisters are both VERY curvy (one of them being underweight & still has very visible curves) . I've read though that if you start before 21 you might get decent hip growth as technically your body hasn't finished developing. I would say my waist shrank an inch but I'm not sure if that's from corset training or HRT (probably corset training honestly). I would say your best bet is to just start HRT & see what Estrogen has in store for your genes. YMMV & I've seen some insane transformations.

I am a typical Hourglass..  like all the women in my family
Enjoying ride the hormones are giving me... finally becoming the woman I always knew I was

Yeeeeeah I'm 34-26-38, but that's not a shape that site recognizes... and my butt is adding a lot to that hip measurement - my butt developed big time with HRT. Coming from a 32" waist pre HRT, I've done pretty well.

My mum and grandma are both pear figures but my grandma and aunts on my Dad's side are more of an hourglass. I've read somewhere that bones don't set until you're about 18-25 and seen as I was quite a late starter for puberty I'm thinking I might get some hip growth. Also, I think due to the fact that I do a lot of core workouts (from rugby and martial arts) if I begin to lose some muscle mass I could see my waist shrink a bit.

If it cheers you up at all, you have a better figure than I do. The second most depressing thing about starting so late is that I will never have a good figure, since my skeletal structure has already been ruined by testosterone. Mine is so bad that I probably can't pass. It says I am a 'banana' shape, too.

After 78 days on estradiol, none of my measurements have changed by more than one inch. I look at my numbers and it really makes me feel like I do not belong here. Is there no hope? :(

Never underestimate the power of estradiol or the people who have it.

Huh.  Odd that your figures ended up being unclassifiable - I would have thought that those numbers put you in the "hourglass" category.

Oh well.  I think I'd describe you as having an "I'm jealous" body type. ;)

It's only been a little over 2 months xD You need to relax because feminization doesn't come over night.

Well, I'm 45-30-44. I did get hourglass, but I'll admit it's got some extra sand in it. ;)

40-31-40 and not on any HRT right now. Gives me banana. However some other calculators put me as an hourglass. Go figure.
