That...A purse is a primary snatch target. And so be it. I don't advocate putting a deadly weapon in there. Non lethal like pepper is fine, even if turned on me, no biggie.

Instead of carrying a weapon, I learnt taekwondo as a kid and am now a first dan senior blackbelt. Everyone in my bio family knows some form of martial arts and It had saved me several times during my early transitioning.The cops can't conflicate that too. I would like to get my hands on some pepper spray or something though.

I always have:
Lip Balm (always at least 2 EOS eggs)
Mascara
Carry Letter
Lotion
All of my meds & vitamins (minus my patches)
Car & house keys
Compact
Nail File
Travel sized Hand Sanitizer (usually one or two different scents)

When I remember them/ am not out of them I'll carry:
Tissues
a few candies
Sunglasses
My small notepad & pen
a mini pack of altoids mints

Because we had a mess killing, at the hands of a nut job who could get his hands on a semi-automatic gun and kill as many people he could within a few minutes.

As the rest of the western world laughs at your dangerous rightwing gun laws, we're also in shock at how people could allow the nut lobby put children at such a risk, time & time again.

We have strict laws here in places like NYC and NJ and gun crime is actually higher there. In fact gun ownership and concealed carry permits have substantially increased in the USA while crime has steadily declined. There are other factors at play such as poverty and even lead paint (banning lead paint has been conclusively linked to lower crime rates).

Unless you live in one of the pacific US territories where you have to register your hands and feet if you know deadly martial arts.

Agreed. It is always on my person. Putting it in a purse or bag is asking for trouble.

thats why my pepper spray is attached to a carabiner  on my purse strap. it has a quick release keychain attachment. Plus I carry my buck knife on my belt at all times. It also serves to remind me, and others, not to try to get close to me.
