Hi everyone!
is there anyone who has had surgery with Dr Kuzon (UMich)? The reason I ask is that University of Michigan Health is in network with my insurance, which is important for me in regards to making GRS possible.  There is another surgeon, Dr Bowers, that I believe is in network, but the wait is 14 months.
There is not much I can find as far as actual satisfaction, so any input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

My understanding is the U of Michigan program require you to start at square one with therapy (their person), HRT, etc. I E-mailed them and got that reply myself. Things may have changed though. I contacted them in July.  :)

Hi Jessica. I contacted them a few weeks ago, via their website, inquiring about SRS. A psychologist for their gender program responded and sent me an application form for their program. He also said that they needed two letters from mental health professionals, with one being from being from a PHD. He said they should be one to two pages, outline how I meet each of the WPATH criteria for SRS. Once they receive and approve the letters, they scan them and the application into the system, and the surgeons office will set up a consultation.  So I gather that they will do the surgery if you have the letters.

The internet presence is not too much that I can find in regards to anyone who has used him. I really want to make a decision soon, and I have to use a surgeon that takes my insurance. I'm sure all the SRS surgeons in the US are competent, it's just such an important decision.

Thanks!
