I'm a college student who spends most of his time at work when not in class. Not working to the bone (It's an on campus, simple job), but I don't interact with people. It's hard to do so because of the fact that I'm so shy and socially anxious. My weight only makes the issue worse as it's worse than my dysphoria. With that said, I really just want to find someone to befriend and possibly date. It'd be much easier to do online, then move to real life. Grindr is horrible and I'd rather not because I'm not into hook-ups (especially being pre-op). Does anyone use websites that are friendly for trans people? I'm bisexual, but have a strong preference for men. I really just want to work on my social skills and interacting with people as a trans person. Anything work for you all? Thanks.

Saw you note. Wish I could help, but I don't know anything about online dating (Yes, I was born during the age of the dinosaur <G>).  Could you start by saying hello to someone in your class and asking for study notes(even if you don't need them)?  That used to work for me back in the Stone Age.

I know a lot of people use it for hook ups, but I've had a lot of great conversations with girls on Tinder. Being trans was actually not an issue for me on there at all, as it is on most dating sites.

I know there are trans specific dating sites if that is what you're looking for. I've never used them, so I can't speak to the quality, but I know they exist. I'm sure if you google transgender dating, you'd probably find them fairly quickly.

And if you're on Facebook, go take a look at my thread regarding Facebook groups. I'm a member of 2 that are more oriented toward dating or getting to know other people and I think they're pretty swell.
