not sure of what to think about this... i came across a post that got me way into thinking. i desperately need money for srs NOW! with medical expenses, college, and a room... no entry level job ive found can handle that for long.

It isn't safe hun,  in the slightest..

Not just about disease but about your <b> personal safety</b>. 

There are MANY other ways - loans, savings, etc..

SRS won't be necessary if you're dead...

Yes, it's about sex.  Yes, you can use a condom.  It's still risky.

Working in the sex business is dangerous.  Not only are natal women killed and/or infected, transsexual sex workers get killed, too.  Ain't no such thing as an escort being "arm candy."  Forget it.  There are many TS prostitutes in Washington, DC.  They work on Fourth and Fifth Streets, around G Street and every so often we lose a sister who was a sex worker to someone who either has a compulsion to kill a prostitute or kill a transsexual they thought was a woman and found out that there were glaring anatomical differences and killed them for that.

It isn't safe, especially for transsexual persons.  I can find newspaper articles about murders, motives, and trials.  Trust the others on this one.

Have you looked into "working your way through college" by taking a loan and working part-time at a place like the student union or cafeteria?  It's infinitely safer.

Like this is news? (Not to be rude) But this is an epidemic among trans women. If you want to "sell" yourself, finding a sugar daddy is a viable and not relatively safe option. (have him tested)

I had a guy I met on the internet who wanted me to move in with him (200 miles down the coast) and he would pay my way (surgeries and all) I turned him down, I was making good money and paid my own way and kept my self-respect. Everything has a price but it beats slitting your wrists.

lets just get one thing straight!!!.......i did say it was either very smart or stupid beforehand. sortov lost the idea when i actually talked to a local escort via email. along with the aids comment... i guess its just an idea now. DONT WORRY!!! not planning on doing anything, i just threw the idea out there to get some oppinions all over... and great advice came in. i usually plan b4 i do something big... and here was the r & d stage... thanks for everyones help... glad i didnt do something stupid!

One need not be very smart or very stupid when looking for ideas to successfully transition.  I believe that everyone has thought of something that they were better off not having done, so please, Raven, take it easy on yourself. 

As for being smart or stupid, if you're in doubt there will always be someone around to help you decide.
