I found celery to be a very nice post-op food. I just snack on it. It also has many benefits. It reduces inflammation, it lowers anxiety, it lowers blood pressure and it seems to work on the nervous system. It also induces sleepiness, which I am currently experiencing. I get more sleepy on it than melatonin. Webmd tells me that it also kills bacteria in the urinary tract. Oh, and it is extremely low on calories! so you can eat loads... any more food that aids in post-op surgery?

Cranberry juice is also great for preventing urinary tract infections. One theory I've heard but can't confirm is that eating pineapple or pineapple juice has healing qualities for any scaring.

Nice, I love them both! Also, bananas helped me a alot as well, especially when low on energy.
