One of my triggers is the hair on my body.. can't stand the sight of it or the feel of it.. I feel like it weighs me down; I literally feel heavier! So, when I take the time to actually shave it all off, well, I'm on cloud nine! I feel so light, like I lost so much weight off my body and my mind. That's what made me happy today.

Hopefully HRT will make it grow slower for me. I want to not shave or wax my arms and have just fine light hairs.

I have a major problem with chest hair. I'm like a grizzly bear. Shaving it off has made me extremely happy but it's a chore and I have to do it every couple of days or I get stubble which isn't fun.

Had a check up with our good Dr today.

All looking good and numbers stable for a while now which he is very happy with
Its hard to remember how I felt before E.

Happy for me to go 6 months between visits and even issue over the phone if I run out.
Wish everyone had a endo like him.
Hey quite a few of us do. :)

Now to loose 10kg. :(

At work, in guy-mode, two women around my age thought I was a girl and complimented me. Tried to mask my being pleased without being rude to the customers.

I found 2 pennies, so I'm going to use them to go towards some purchases on Ebay.

The look on the guy's face at the chemist when I picked up some medication. It went from a standard hi how are you today what can I get you look. To a OH ITS YOU! Hi Gypsy I didn't recognize you at first look. He also used correct pronouns when talking aabout me to the pharmacist ;D

My wife, for the first time in our 14 year marriage told me I was pretty.
That's a huge step from being unaccepting and fighting me on my transition to going with me to lobby days with a hundred trans people around her.

A friend who I haven't seen or spoken to in months just randomly invited me over to dinner and a Celtic Christmas show this Friday. She's totally on board with my transitioning, too, and is the first person to try to give me helpful advice (since it's essentially just puberty that all other women go through at an earlier age). I appreciate it, too, because I don't have any friends like that. Most of them are either guys (who know nothing about women) or women who aren't willing to talk about anything personal with me. I think I finally have a friend to make girl-talk with.

In my family most of us have the shorter version of names as our actual birth names (i.e Tommy not Thomas, Jess not Jessica). Now my sister (who I'm out to) when under stress will call us by the full version of the name. My name is a gender neutral nickname

Today she used the female version :D. I love my sister

Had a great visit yesterday with an old friend who I have not seen 25 years since high school. We reconnected because I came across a picture of her at our local Pflag group and I reached out to her to learn about her story and also disclose my own gender incongruent status and being in transition. I learned about her son who 10 years old that has transitioned (as much as a youth can) from being born a girl to living full-time as a boy, that it started as early as 3 years old. I told her my story as well and we had a really great time over a coffee lunch. We parted ways saying it would be great to get together again and for me to meet her husband and kids, which I hope to do sometime after the holidays settled down.

It's great to have an ally and someone who I could reach out too. I feel blessed to have came across someone whom I'd lost touch with and now is a similar situation, all-be-it very different, but at sharing the similar connection of the transgender spectrum.

Yesterday, caught up w/ an old friend whom I hadn't seen in 3 years. I discovered we have one of those cool friendships where it doesn't seem to matter how long we haven't seen each other, it always seems like we haven't spent anytime apart at all.

But then, we went through some incredibly bad times in the past together and that probably helped forge that bond. She was actually the first person (that I wasn't in a relationship with) whom I admitted my feelings about being born in the wrong body too (incidentally, that had nothing to do with us not seeing each other for so long!)... And she was always totally accepting of me. :)

I'm also happy today because I didn't wake up hungover after last night's party! lol

Whenever I heard the name "Andrea", I ignore my mother completely and act as if I didn't hear. She's starting to use it much less.

My sister's fiancé.
He's so funny and full of energy, I love him haha

He's also the only family member to not have much of a reaction to my coming out and isn't treating me any differently ^-^

A friend linked this list elsewhere:

http://championupnorth.com/music-2/7-visionary-women-who-paved-the-way-for-electronic-music-part-2

They made the list up in two parts. The coolest thing about part one is that the late, the beyond great Delia Derbyshire got the top spot on the first list. The top spot on part two went to Wendy Carlos. The cool thing about that was that they used the proper pronouns.

Yeah but still a long way to go because she's figured out I'm ignoring her and said "Well that is your name."  >:(

What made me happy today? Honestly, being me! Seeing the changes taking place and knowing where I'm heading.... I'm feeling a peace within myself that I don't really ever recall having before.

I know this can all turn on its head quickly with the slightest trigger and I'll be sobbing and mopey again soon enough, but in this moment and in general, I'm happier than I've been in an incredibly long time. :)
