Heeey I am 18 and not on HRT yet girls and I am considering self medding. I feel  like my femme voice but I think my face will give me away, especially my brow and nose yuuuck. I have also been plucking my eyebrows

Do you think my brow is too bad? I definitely could use some fixing but that won't happen anywhere near in the future, I think ugghhh. And sorry idk how to embed pictures.

I would never recommend self medding tbh. have you ever looked into whether anybody practices informed consent in your area? if not look into it. it is a way to start hormones with out the psychological therapy. Some states use this model for trans patients and other states like mine don't, but there are doctors within those states that will.

But in my opinion you do not have a bad brow. I do think that your nose is big and kinda masculine but hormones do cause some slight changes in the nose for some. And also I have seen women with big wide noses so its not a huge deal.

I think if you start sometime in the next few years you could see some real good results.

What an awesome foundation you have to work with.  Young, still got your hair (and it's already long), nothing that looks irreparably masculine, face kinda neutral genderwise (especially in the second photo), and you're even fortunate enough to have very little beard shadow: HRT will probably be very kind to you!

There's one thing you do need to work on.  Confidence!

You are passable babe with the right set of weave or just let your hair grow.

It is a weave. However, it look like its growing out of my scalp as it is a full lace Brazilian virgin weave.

Passing is 80% confidence - keep that chin high xo

I don't usually spam anniversary images, but this time I actually do feel like I need to ask the question from the title. It seems I've started to male-fail pretty consistently, but I also feel that that most certainly not the same as passing as female. It's created some... strained social situations as of late. I'm 8 months in on hormones to the day.

I am 3 weeks post FFS and I worry that I either didn't get rid of all the male features or I don't know what. I hoped to come out of it able to pass in sweat pants and a T shirt and feel like that didn't happen. I'm really not looking for a bunch of warm and fuzzy feelings but an honest opinion. I took this the other night and it is probably the best picture I have ever taken.

Literally the first thing I thought of when I saw your picture was how you have such a feminine face. That was before I actually read the post and saw you had FFS.

You definitely have a female face now, just wow, no doubt.

I think that with HRT you'll be fine :) Especially at your age. There's nothing that screams male to me, I just think you need to go with a more feminine hairstyle. Don't worry about your brows either. Plucking them takes some practice, but the way they are now actually looks really good! I'd say you're at a good starting point ^^

I actually think you have a very feminine face. Even the hair, whilst it's short is quite cute. Lots of sis girls look great with short hair.  Now I tried really hard to pick something, and this is a stretch, but perhaps your nose width? I mean it's a real stretch for me to pick that, but if there was anything I'd say your nose. But it's complet fine Jen, I'm just trying to pick something, and it's hard! So sorry Hun, this isn't a warm and fuzzy, just honest.

It's a little hard to see your facial features in the pic, but I can see why your getting male fail. Now passing I think is more than how we look. So maybe try to femme things up a little and see how you feel. From a distance your body is certainly looking the part. But the attire is looking a little male. Hmm, am I really that vain lol

That pic is not doing justice with you. With close up it better to give opinion.Anyway like your relax and lazy mode  style:)

I kind of suspected that it might be a bit too distant of a photo, but gathered that it's good to get an overall impression. Here's one that's more close up.

I can't see anything that wouldn't make this a pass. It's really hard to judge your own face when you know exactly which parts to obsess over. I couldn't clock you unless I saw you in a trans* environment.
