I can pick up the papers I need from my doctor today to get my gender marker changed on my drivers license.

Yesterday I went to the eye doctor for a check-up. And I knew that I was going to be getting new frames and really wanted to get some that would help me pass more. BUT I was so super nervous about looking in the men's section. So finally I picked a pair I found on the clearance rack. They were female frames, but a little more rectangular.

Well the saleslady helping me check out commented on that the frames I picked were made a little cheaply and since I have insurance why not get a more well-made pair. And I mumbled something about wanting more rectangular/masculine frames. And she, without hesitation or judgement, said "Well then let's look in the men's section." Then she walked over with me and helped me pick out a pair. She was so nice! She ever said one pair looked very handsome!

AT LAST! I AM FEMALE!!!

Finally, on my license, I got my gender AND name changed. I'm so happy right now. It's taken 3 long years to do it. All my documents are now corrected with my new name. I'm a girl! Legally. Woohoo!

Well, I suppose any time after midnight last night was technically today so...

While I was on the phone with my s.o., she told me that I am the first person to so readily accept her as a woman and that it has made her the happiest she've been in a very long time. Even though she was near tears, knowing that I have made her feel happy and accepted.... Nothing beats that.

I worked (like really exercised)  out today for the first time in forever.  I joined the gym last night and worked out before work.  I'm so pumped about it, I want to play hooky and work out more!   Not going to, but still...

Sweet! I might get them myself next time I go for a check up. I think I need rectangular frames rather than square.

I got my name change process going with TLDEF, was told that there was usually a waiting list but there's a lawyer that's free to take my case and will call me in the new few weeks. I come home and received a call 3 hours later and now I get to see them this Friday afternoon. My mom at the last minute jumped the gun and long story short, I ended up getting the name Damien.

I've been really happy over these last two months or so, despite the fact that I have been working a lot. It's definitely taking a stress toll on my body. But overall, I just feel like I am in a really good place. I'm really content with my life as it is.It's a very strange feeling that I haven't had in years.

I'm glad you are in a good place. You certainly sounded like it when I called earlier. It was great to hear your voice sound upbeat. ^_^

I thought I would sleep better now that my last bit of legal documentation is finally in the correct name and gender. But, I'm too happy. And I kind of owe some of the credit to Birkin. He kind of lit a fire under my butt to get things into gear. He told me if I dont change things then it wont get any better for me. I got my CDL, my name and gender changed on my drivers license and I'm a top student at school. If I was at my lowest point in 2014 I am certainly at my highest now so far. But the highlight of my day was being able to chat for 5 minutes with Birkin.

A talk with my baby sister. She seems to be completely on board and accepting of me. She liked a top I bought the other day and agreed with how I should wear it.  (This says eye for putting a girls outfit together. Or we're both total dags :P.)

She even wants me to go out one night and see if I can pick up more numbers from guys then she can, (someone has to mind her boy). When I told her I might not like guys she replied. Ok well I'm still going to try these lines on guys. She wasn't fazed at all,  I wish there where more people like her out there for all of us.

I found out that as of January 1st my health insurance will cover all transition related surgeries!   So the cost of GRS just dropped down to $350!  Thank you BCBS of MA.

PM's from 2 of my friends from where I used to work:

"You have come such a long way with your journey and idk I just think it would be loads of fun to have a girls day and do makeovers. Sara is excited she really wants to do it. Lol totally up to you tho dear."

And

"Hey dollface! Ok I know this is a random ass email but iris and I would like to hang out with you sometime.. please by no mean take this in the wrong manner I mean absolutely no disrespect at all. But we would really like to give you some constructive criticism  we would really like to help you out with your look to and style.you know give you a more girly look! I mean you have came a long ways since (Workplace) and your doing great! Your very beautiful inside and out! We just really wanna give you advice from a girls point of view  .. Iris and I really do support what your doing. Honestly I envy how courageous you are it takes a lot to be able to take other people's negative and crude comments and still continue to pursue your goals!! You go girl!! "

I am so doing this. :)

Add to that the 18 friend requests I've gotten because of that BS over my photo being stolen and the 138 posts of support condemning Andrew's theft of my picture and his transphobic comments...
