I don't think you need FFS. Definitely some laser and/or electro will help though.

Been a long time away, so, heres what I look like these days

No makeup/suboptimal lighting

I know bathroom selfies are kinda ridic, but I think I look cute...

Current favorite picture of all time:

How am I doing?  Are the no makeup ones quite as rough (barely passable) as I think they are?

I'm pretty confident I pass to the general public, but I am rather interested in what other transwomen think ^^; received constructive criticism from a transwoman who I felt didn't quite pass in the past before, and honestly I'm pretty sure I looked and passed a bit better than she did at the time... so yeah, here's one of my latest pics, taken late last year, my curls have come back a bit since then but anyways,

Pretty sure I wasn't wearing make-up at the time of this pic either, I pluck a bit...

Abysha, I'm going to go out a limb here and say probably not.  That's saying, to "pass" as far as the world's eyes, you probably won't need it.  However, after a couple of years of HRT (and after going full time), many of us find ourselves looking in the mirror and saying "Ewww.." at certain features.  You may have that happen to you.

Personally, though, I think that you'll be pleased with the outcome of your round of HRT.

My heart sank when I first started reading as I thought it sounded like you were bracing me for something and when you said "probably not", I thought you mean "probably not pass" until I kept reading, hah!  This gives me a lot of hope, thank you.

I think you have a very good start, I haven't started HRT quite yet myself but from what i have seen it can do wonders,
i would let the HRT do what it can for a while then take another look at your options, only thing that kinda sticks out imo
is the little bit of shadow around your mouth so i would check on some laser/ electro, i know i have to spend more time,
trying to cover mine up than i do getting the rest of myself ready lol but i have only had 1 laser sitting so far

This is more of an exploratory step before I speak with my wife about it.  It may sound shallow but she might be more accepting if she thought she might get a "passable" wife out of it.  The electro and HRT are definitely on the to-do list down the line if I get that far.  By that I mean, "when", since I can't see myself being able to push this whole thing back down inside my brain ever again.  Thank you for the feedback.

Not having to get FFS would be so convenient.  I hope you are right.  It's something I'd probably do once I'm violently wealthy down the road whether or not I need it but I need to be me before that day, I'm sure.

The "no makeup" ones look like most other women when they don't have makeup on.  It's one thing I'm not looking forward to, heh heh.

But no, nothing about you screams out masculine to me, with or without makeup.

Sorry, Abysha.  My writing has not been at its best today.  Having one of those days....

Personally.... Not quite passing.... I think a little more cleaning on the eyebrows would help (you got a good natural arch to work with, let it show). What stands out to me are:
1) Chin along with face proportions, which has actually been the biggest change I've noticed with hormones facially.  My face has become far more round, I suspect that would happen with you and would definitely help.
2) Adam's apple...  I know theres nothing really to be done with that besides surgery....
3) Forehead, the brow ridge and the wrinkling...  Though I don't think its any worse than mine and other people seem not to notice on me....

edit to add:
If you think you are passing in public, you probably are, and those would do clock you are almost always going to treat you respectfully as your proper gender: my experience and two cents worth...

I do want to get the eyebrows waxed again some time, heh, don't think the chin's going to change much more though, been on the hormones 4 and a half years already.  I don't like to smile in pictures much though, cuz they just don't seem to work for me, sort of enhances some of my more masculine features.

BIB - This is so true. I am a mere shorty at 5'7" compared to some of the others here at Susan's, but over in Hong Kong I stick out like a sore thumb amongst the general local female population. Back in the UK, no one gives a crap with respect to my height as I about average height with respect to the overall female population.

Passing/blending in isn't just about height, but it can get you noticed depending where in the world you are whether if you were cis or trans, male or female. How you deal with being spotted for being too tall or too short afterwards is what matters.

Advantage you got is that you got other places to travel to and feel at ease again maybe :P. While I frequently meet cis women (almost) my height, or even taller, I doubt I would visit Hong-Kong unless I walk next of a tall boyfriend :P.

And agreed ^^. People stare anyhow but best is to (atleast try) walk it off with pride and make them admire you instead of them thinking what kind of weird, insecure person is walking past by :P.
:D Want to see me ramble, talk about experiences or explaining about gender dysphoria? :D

Hi, all!
I was wondering if one of you could skim through an album of my pics I've put up, very recent ones and I would like to get some sort of (ANY sorf of) feedback at all. But generally what I'd like to know is how am I standing? I know it's a long shot from passing and I'm not even thinking of transition (although I have been on hormones two years ago and it's more than a year off them since) but I'd like to, for vanity's sake, indulge myself a bit  :D I would like to hell if I could look more feminine and am vexed by this male husk but I know that's not happening at my age and HRT is no longer an option with so I guess I could use some honest opinions from you good folk.

Here's the link to the album; the first four pics show a good amount of facial hair, which is done with in all the rest of them - I'm sorry my hair is a mess and the pics aren't the greatest quality to begin with.
But a great thanks in advance.

Oh, and the password is "nopass".

P.S. Please no sugar-coating for me, just throw it straight at me whatever it is.

may I ask why hrt is no longer an option? because you're nearly passing already! with enough time on hormones I honestly think you have a ton of potential to pass completely, especially with make up too. Your face is slender, your eyes are big and pretty, your eyebrows already look great, and you have nearly no brow ridge that I can see. seriously Im not trying to sugar coat, I think you could transition pretty flawlessly should you ever decide to.  :)

Thanks a bunch! That really brightened up my day. I felt I was close to passing when I was on HRT, but without the proper (high) dosages with NHS covering it and my weird body shape it was just an impossible dream to live up to. HRT is out of the question mainly because of the cost of it, since I'm unemployed atm and having it on NHS in my country is a pain.
I do have a bit of brow bossing and a weird shaped forehead so that's a bit of a hindrance. Also, I do pluck my eyebrows, the only thing I haven't stopped doing for years.
Thanks again.

I agree with Gwen. If you want brutal you could have have rhino on your nose bridge. But that is more aesthetic than feminizing.
Your nose already has nice rotation. Your chin is in the feminine range.  Your brow bossing seems amazingly non existent. HRT would provide the most feminizing effect, you almost pass already. In some photos you do pass. - Danielle

I had to check back to see if you were referring to me. Still do. Are you referring to me?  :P :)
Coming from someone like you it sure stirs a lot of thought and emotions. I will reconsider my transition steps in future. Thanks!

I went back to triple check your photos. It looks like they are down now. I wanted to check your facial hair. That is a another critical component to address. I do not know if you have a material quantity. I tend to overlook it because I assume most accept it as a given that if its there it needs to be addressed. I am sorry if I missed it.  - Kind Regards, Danielle

That's strange, because they're up on my end now. I did not pull them down.
I don't think I have a big issue with facial hair but IT IS THERE. I wish it weren't. You can see (on facial close-ups) and judge by yourself if you're willing to.
Oh, and by the way - you said I pass in some pics... can you please say in which ones I passed?
Btw, I added a few new pics to the album.
