Kelli

I'm really excited to post this. After sending my resume many different places, and having a few different interviews with different companies, I finally got hired! Not only that, but I'll be working as Kelli. Even though my name hasn't been legally changed yet, they're still going to let me use that name. I was really surprised because the job is face-to-face sales. I had this thought in the back of my head that maybe they would look at it as "This might hurt business because of how people may react." Apparently I was wrong.

It gave me a huge boost of confidence. Sometimes I obsess on "not being THERE" yet. I'm in an in between phase where I could go either way depending on how I carry myself. Maybe I appear better than what I think I do. *shrug*

I'm just thrilled because we all know how a lot of businesses are in regards to us. Most won't touch us with a ten foot pole.

I start Tuesday and it can't come soon enough!

I always found that going for interviews I never gave them any information either way regarding gender.  I have an androgenous name and just let them make up their own mind what gender I was.

Congrats on the job, Kelli!  Will you be working at a service counter or on the road?

The best paid people in any society are those who sell something.  Go get your piece of the pie, Lady!
