weeee doggies.  have  yall  discussed  this  with  your  intended / tenative  GRS  SRS  surgeon?

I  went  years  ago,{  so  ask  yours  for their  specific  pre  op  directives,}  but    as  atrophy began,  my  SRS  dr.  insisted  that  i  get  a  hold  on  the  ole  tally whacker,  even  if  I  had  to  wear  surgical  gloves,  and  stretch  it.
as  he  said, " Dont  let  it  go  away,  I  need  that  skin  and  nerve  bundle,  to  give  you  the  best  possiable  outcome  aftr  surgery."

consult  with  your  doctor  ASAP  for  a  recomendation.

I've heard the same.  It's a bummer because since I've confronted myself on this whole dysphoria thing, I haven't touched it and it's apparently the time in my life I really need to.  The irony is killing me.

On the bright side, it will make me more willing to be intimate with my wife.  I enjoy being with her even if I have to use the wrong tools.  That also made me read this thread because, as long as I have to have it, I don't want it to vanish into obscurity.  Hopefully, "exercising" it regularly will stave that off.

Six months on HRT and mine goes Turtle mode big time. Most of the time there is nothing down then except two very small balls and the skin. Hell its at the point that if it was cut off I would not even notice much change.

Just out of curiosity, by how much is it suppose to shrink?

In the nearly 18 months being on ERT, it's been about the same size since before going on ERT.

I think it only shrinks a lot if you don't keep it exercised.

I've barely noticed any change

I exersise all the time and it's disappearing , which is all right except when I p. I usually have to p bent over the toilet then sit to do # 2. If I'm sitting it's glue to my body just stuck pointing horizontally, even trying to grab on and point it down is quite difficult.

Well, I don't touch it to do it.  Tried that three times in my life, and freaked out each time.

No, for me it's only shrunk like 1-2% in the last 18 months.  Of course, I have the penis of a 7-9 year old boy, so....

Hmmm.

Why me as I seem to have had no change. The darn thing is still, well, huge. :(
16 months on E...

Bother.
So long and thanks for all the fish

Hi;
After nearly 24 months on HRT, basically I am just like Cindy. Actually I have worked out a way to go (if I am in the male toilets). That is to lean sort of 45 degrees (sort of in a airplane crash position so that the thing down there is sort of at an angle over the basin). This way I can just about clear my bladder , as often sitting down doesn't completely clear it. Mind you I am pretty sure that once its gone, it will not be a problem as  I will just squirt!.

I have not tried a swimsuit or bikini yet, but in Women's shorts and jeans nothing is really noticeable at all. I am thinking of getting a one piece with a frill as I am getting to the stage that I need it for water aerobics.

That's what I thought, too. I always heard that whitey tighties reduced T/sperm count.

My cysts are less than half the size they used to be, but the other part has seen very little if any change- the only difference with that is the perineal raphe underneath has darkened considerably.

I tend to keep things pretty active down there, so I imagine that is the reason behind the lack of change even with a very high dose of subdermal pellet HRT. I am non op and like having the functionality.
The scrotal sack is there so the testicles can be a temperature lower than your bodies general 98.6 degrees.  Spermatogenesis becomes difficult if the testicles are too cold or too hot.  Muscles in the scrotal sack contract and release to pull the tissue closer to the body for warmth and regulate blood flow.  Hence tight briefs do reduce sperm counts.

Tight underwear/tucking reduces your body's ability to regulate the blood flow and temperature in the area due to the increased non-varying proximity.  Inhibiting the ability to produce testosterone also causes shrinkage of the testicle.

My guess is that the extended periods of reduced blood flow is causing the looser scrotal skin to not rebuild as fast as skin necrosis.  The nerve clusters should be intact, but you may lose some surface area.

I haven't run into this issue yet, but I'd suggest while seated, manipulating the tissue to lengthen the urethra enough to make sure it is unobstructed.  You may have to lean forward some.  You might need to go to you GP or Primary Care Doctor and have a physical if there are still issues.  Just because we are trans doesn't mean we can't get kidney stones and prostate cancer.

If by exercising y'all mean masturbating,[emoji112] I doubt the brief time spent diverting blood to the shaft will solve the issue.  I'd suggest sleeping nude, and don't keep your genitals constricted all day everyday.  Even then, there will still be some unavoidable shrinkage when taking anti-androgens and estrogen.  Although I'm basing this on things I've read, and am by no means a doctor.

Well I do keep it working twice a week and its still shrinking. When I wake up in the morning everything is so sunk in that its as if it was never there.

Why not a tankini? That way you can have the coverage of a one piece but the convenience of a two piece when peeing, etc.

Pre-hrt for now, there's really not a lot there in the first place. Maybe it'll just disappear in the future?!

Not on HRT yet, but soon.
I always sit to pee. I hope when the HRT starts I will not have those issues. We'll see I guess.

I figured out a way, I hover at a 45 degree angle for #1 then sit the rest of the way for 2

They do, but it's more likely because of temperature not T amount.  They're on the outside for some reason, right?   :D
